    Pros

Fun employees who know what they are doing and how to do what needs to be done

    Cons

Not a lot of respect towards low level employees and the pay is low.

    Advice to Management

Be more proactive in making sure that all responsibilities of the staff are taken care of.

    Pros

Great training in giving excellent guest service that goes a long way. Employee movie tickets. Schedule for part-time is not too bad. Opportunity to rise up.

Pay is minimum wage for film crew.

    Pros

Laid back attitude Easy work...but can get a little hectic when busy Hours can go either way...must work weekends when you can, but hours during the weeks are usually short.

    Cons

Smell like popcorn butter "cleaning" theaters...the floors are usually a mess and a mess to clean

I have been working at AMC Entertainment part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fantastic staff and equally fantastic management make working here a constant pleasure. Plus, free movies and delicious popcorn whenever you want.

    Cons

Corporate beat-downs tend to hurt morale more often than any rude customer ever can. Pay is sub-par when responsibilities and demand are at a consistently higher bar than your rewards.

    Advice to Management

It's difficult to give any advice when HQ has more intense demands than what management can handle. Keep up the good work, and your employees will follow.

    Pros

The benefits provided like movies and employee discounts when working

    Cons

Not enough pay and wishy-washy hours

  9. Cool Gig

    Pros

Very flexible and fun environment. Most of the time you could watch free movies. Family included and if its a good day (weekdays) its near free money.

    Cons

Overbearing Management would be the only issue. Its a fun place to work but of course your on the clock. Being proactive vs reactive will help you get around their issues.

I worked at AMC Entertainment part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free movies, very easy job - mostly cleaning, very flexible hours. This is a really good job for someone who's still in high school, or who has never had a job before.

    Cons

Very easy job - gets boring really fast. So many slow days with nothing to do - there's only so many times you can clean the bathroom in 8 hours when only a handful of people have been there. Got maybe an hour of training for concessions before they had you helping guests, which isn't nearly enough time to learn everything. Also if you have an 8 hour shift, only expect to get a 30 minute break. If you have a 4 hour shift, don't expect any breaks.

    Advice to Management

Set aside more time for training, and make sure your employees are actually comfortable helping guests before you leave.

    Pros

Awesome co-workers, free movies, free soda/popcorn. Flexible hours. You're doing a different job everyday

    Cons

Low pay, rude/stupid customers, management up your butt about stubs card sales. Expect to work 2 out of the 3 weekends every week

    Advice to Management

Pay us more. 7.25 is a joke for the crap the crew has to deal with. And backbar should be paid more than anyone else
