I worked at AMC Entertainment part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The coworkers all seem to help one another and work as a team! The best part was how the managers made this a great experience. They were extremely nice and outgoing and always liked for everyone to have fun on the job.

    Cons

Part time so the hours aren't great

I worked at AMC Entertainment part-time for less than a year

    Pros

*Free movies- This speaks for itself, although I found myself wanting to get out of the theater after being there 8 hours straight!
*Flexible schedules- This worked nicely with my college schedule.
*Fun coworkers- I loved all my film crew buddies.
    *Discounted popcorn and soda

    Cons

*Very poor pay, even for supervisors- I knew someone (not a supervisor or manager) that was still making 7.25/hr going into her 3rd year of employment with AMC
*STUBS program and the pressure to be a salesman

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer more praise (and possibly more raises) to hardworking, dedicated employees. Do not pressure employees to sell STUBS cards, as AMC film crew workers are movie theater concessionaires, not car salesmen.

I have been working at AMC Entertainment

    Pros

Flexible scheduling. Really friendly co-workers at my location. The free movies are cool. Overall, a really great place, especially as a student. They aren't afraid to hire young workers.

    Cons

Because they hire so many minors, they overcompensate hours with older workers. I only work three days a week, but I typically work 8-hour shifts each time. Also, Stubs are a double-edged sword. If you don't sell enough, you can be fired. But if you are good, they force you to work box or concessions every shift.

I have been working at AMC Entertainment part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The Management,Supervisors and fellow assoicates are top notch.Benifets are plentifull. This job is as fun as you make it.

    Cons

The pay is the only down side this job has. Sometimes the guests can be quite rude and try to take advantage very chance they get. You have to "size-up" every guest to see if they are on the level when it comes to ticket refunds.

I worked at AMC Entertainment part-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Free movies for your family plus one guest
-Free swag that came from move promotions
-Great crew members to work as a team
    -Tons of fun!

    Cons

-At the Glendora theater, the GM at the time did not give any raises to crew members; minimum wage
-Long and weird hours during midnight screenings
-If you worked from 9 PM- 3 AM, you could be scheduled to come in the next day at 9 AM to open
-Lots of pressure from corporation to have better sales; if expectations wasn't met, the person was potentially fired
-Getting days off were difficult; sometimes you were scheduled outside your availability
-Management didn't care for the opinions of the workers
-Expected to work holidays; no time and half for holidays either

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Listen to your crew members and meet their expectations and concerns.

I worked at AMC Entertainment part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Watch movies for free, Free movie posters, Employee Discounts, Works around schedule.

It is a good part time job if you need extra cash and love to watch movies.

    Cons

Promotions, Employee Discounts, Limited working ours, Scheduling

You can only get employee discounts during your lunch shift. We should be able to get it all the time. Because of the mass of new hires, current employees had to suffer with less hours. Unless you are favorite, promotions are very limited. It was plenty of times where I close one day and open the next.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire less people and employees that you already have more hours.
