Pros
good pay compared to other companies, friendly work environment, helpful supervisors, very convenient cafeteria located in the building, interesting work
Cons
upper management seemed out of touch
Advice to Senior Management
should have more team building activities
Pros
Competitive salary and decent benefits (only when times were good!), less stressful work environment. Helpful and good people to work with.
Cons
Lacking good leaders, no clear direction by management, no structure, no defined processes, lack of pro-activeness, decisions made without data.
Pros
The compensation is pretty competitive
Cons
Management is terrible. There is a lot of favoritism, which is not based on job performance. They are constantly changing CEO's looking for a different result but things stay the same. It is like groundhog day.
Advice to Senior Management
If you want things to change you have to be willing to take risks.
Pros
Nice location, work is challenging, definite improvement in operations and product quality
Cons
Small company with limited resources
Compensation could be improved
Advice to Senior Management
Need to see Mario a little more! More communication would help.
Pros
Financial Compensation, relocation Package, diverse work force (met a lot of interesting people from different countries)
Cons
Too many silos, lack of trust between departments, "inner circle" people very difficult to interact with. They are allowed to rule the roost and do whatever they want with no consequences. The fab is old fashioned and there is a lot of manual activity. Needs to be upgraded and fitted with more automation. Poor production methods and less focus on quality. Fab engineers "unionized" against management.
Advice to Senior Management
Build consensus and team spirit within the company. Do not allow a few individuals to wield too much power. Stabilize middle and senior management instead of making "walking managers out" a fashion! Bring HR managers who actually understand technology.
Pros
Good and industrial leading product lines
Cons
Minimal or no differientiation between good and poor performanced employees
Advice to Senior Management
Provide fair assessment on performances
Pros
Bonuses and salaries are good when compared to others in the same industry.
Cons
- Lack of technical competence and vision from the CTO down to the lowest level of management.
- Anybody can easily become either a chief scientist or a vice-president if you know the right people.
- Lots of managers without the proper academic credentials heading very challenging programs.
- Poor benefits
- A lot more managers than engineers developing products.
Advice to Senior Management
Decrease the level of layers management and increase your product development workforce.
Hire senior management with respectable and "relevant" academic credentials.
Pros
Very nice people. Very knowledgeable employees. Reasonably good pay compared to similar companies.
Cons
Medical benefits are one of the worst. Bonus offered in terms of stock.
The fab is like a lab. There are too many "experts" who do not document anything and work on their own terms. Process Engineers operate like unionized blue collar workers. Too many changes at the top and employees have learnt to ignore management as a result. New Jersey is the wrong place to build a fab. Cost is high. Labor force is one of the worst. Quality consciousness is nil. If Anadigics continues this way, they will not survive against their competitors who have a much more disciplined and higher quality fabs.
Advice to Senior Management
There is too much power vested with Human resources dept. Operations gets punished every time. It is time this power base is balanced.
