Pros
Good work life balance, ability to move in the group with diverse work locations, training and development of staff was good
Cons
Organisation went through quite a bit of change when I was there and a lot of change in senior management
Advice to Senior Management
Look after your loyal employees, continue valuing the work life culture, keep investing and growing your employees - look after them and they will look after you.
Pros
Their Asia strategy was aligned with the market opportunity. The aspiration was strong. The potential for success appeared to be strong. Everything looked like it was in their favour.
Cons
There is a clear lack of leadership from the top. There is no connection between words and actions. The politics and disagreements among senior managers are obvious.
Advice to Senior Management
Practice what we preach. Walk the walk. Be accountable - to clients, shareholders, and employees. Have honest conversations. Start here, good things follow.
Pros
Organized place.
Structured work
Good work life balance
Predictable
Great heritage
Easy going culture
It's a company with decent opportunities
Cons
Due to its long history the company tends to be slow and beauracratic at times and decisions can be very slow
Advice to Senior Management
Provide greater opportunities for employees to give feedback during training. Offer cross functional opportunities across geographies and improve appraisal system
Pros
Number of branches worldwide, Super regional strategy, lots of opportunites to grow and develop.
Cons
IT and HR set up with call centre numbers to deal with issues and poor service from the two.
Advice to Senior Management
HR structure needs a complete revamp where staff should be able to deal with people and not a common inbox or a 0800 number
Pros
There is a hgh and infectious level of energy from the project team. The pace is face and work can be very exciting if landed in the right stream.
Cons
Due to such an influx of people joining, it can get quite confusing regarding roles and responsibilities. Some departments get little or no administration support and its a matter of self navigation
Advice to Senior Management
Management need to be aware of roles and responsibilities. There seems to be doubling up due to poor planning of resources
