I worked at APX Alarm full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, fun coworkers, free lunch, a nice rec room, and it pays pretty well. If you just need a job this one is pretty good.

    Cons

Lots of shady corporate practices while I worked there, shifting managers around too often to have real leadership. Sales process is legal but doesn't feel honest anyway.

    Advice to Management

Remember that people are more than cogs in your machine to make money.

    Pros

Nice cafeteria available to all the employees. Decent PTO available. Young demographic of employees to work with. Nice new building.

    Cons

Promotions are often based on who knows who, not as much on performance or experience. You have to know somebody.

    Advice to Management

Don't just go with what you need at the moment. Promote employees that will do a great job regardless of how long they will be with the company.

  6. Lots of money for summer work.

    Pros

Good pay, only working summers, it's great for students.

    Cons

It is hard work and outside, a lot of places are really hot.

    Advice to Management

    Don't make it completely commission.
