I worked at ARAMARK part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Starting pay for base work in minimal unless you're a student or something, like me. So i started at 8.50 which isn't too bad, better than 7.25 or something like that.

    Cons

My workplace didn't have many cons. Mainly just the shortage of required supplies (uniforms and kitchen utensils)

I have been working at ARAMARK

    Pros

    Free food and free parking

    Cons

A lot of micromanagement. Whining managers who constantly poke fun at people. Time off only kicks in the month after you have worked an entire month.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some people in management need to take a good look at why they have a person within a role and it is a revolving door. Is it the people you hire or the person they are reporting to?? You hire professionals, now treat them as such! Micromanagement isn't necessary. I think that if you are gonna have me in an interview for well over an hour asking me questions, then you should be upfront about your management style so I could have made an informed decision on whether to take the job.

I have been working at ARAMARK

    Pros

Great people with a lot of integrity, and respect for others. My business unit likes to have fun while working, and understands that having a little fun at work is good for creating and sustaining positive energy, along with social and emotional capital. I also feel I am compensated very well, which makes me appreciate Aramark all the more.

    Cons

Inconsistencies with policies, processes, and messages across the business I support. However, with the new CEO in place, and a recent restructuring of AUS and Refreshment/Vending, I see that changing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I know it's time-consuming, but get out and meet the people more, as in town halls, focus groups, facility walks, etc.
