    Pros

The hours are great when you have children in school.

    Cons

Min. Wage for a decade of service, food directors that harass you and call you names and belittle you constantly. Never a Thankyou, just constant threats.

    Advice to Management

Check out Poquoson Virginia schools run by Aramark....the worst working conditions I have ever seen. Someone should investigate and talk to the employees. Jobs are giving to friends and never opened fairly to all.

    Pros

None come to mind, but if you are a man you will probably do okay.

    Cons

Woman do not advance at this company. In 5 years, my total percentage of raises was under 3% while the men got all kinds of bonuses and raises. I did business analysis and fleet management and found that they broke the law by allowing unqualified drivers to drive and after I reported it they laid me off. If you are honest or have integrity, you won't fit in.

    Advice to Management

    Clean house

    Pros

If you are young and looking to make a name for yourself with the motor and skills to prove it, you can do it here. Plenty of opportunity especially if you are willing to relocate,

    Cons

The yearly "cost of living" increases are a joke lately, but I also assume that's a lot of companies. Also you get swamped with lots of corporate "flavor of the month" initiatives that take up a ton of your time and vanish.

    Pros

The kids are great to work with. It's a fun energetic crowd.

    Cons

The management staff are self serving, communication skills non existent. Supervisors are underskilled and lazy. Cooks never have the product to completely execute their menus and recipes.

    Advice to Management

Senior management gets a thumbs down for not really understanding what's going on in our kitchens. Due to the awful numbers ran on food cost district managers, district chefs, vice president etc.... Were visiting our location often. Not once did they confer with hourly employees for our input. You know we have brains, personally speaking I could have offered many avenues as to why our food cost was so high. Hourly employee input and intelligence are not valued at Aramark from location management to upper management.
