Pros
Good pay and benefits
Good potential for growth
Cons
Upper management needs to communicate
Pros
Good pay and benefits for managers
Cons
Management philosiphy changed. Bottom line focus out weighed all other concerns.
Pros
They work well with you and encourage growth.
Cons
Everything seems to be what's best for the division, not for people.
Pros
-Good health benefits for full-time workers
-401K is offered for full-time workers
-Free meal during break
-Unemployment benefits during lay-offs
-Opportunity to learn to make different foods/work different stations
Cons
-Low employee morale(unjustified, unpunished call outs; lack or work ethinc, bad attitudes)
-Unfair raises/promotions
-Automatic pay increase for incoming workers in comparison to season workers before work ethic, dependability, skill level is known
-Lack of trust between management channels (supervisors, managers, etc) and foodservice employees
-Lack of active leadership...do as i say..not as I do mentality
Advice to Senior Management
-Be proactive instead of reactive in communication
-Be genuinely trustworthy
Pros
On campus, the opportunities with aramark are great because it is among the best in terms of hourly wage for students on campus.
Cons
Management does not always understand the value of student workers and what they contribute. See's student workers as a burden and something to deal with.
Advice to Senior Management
Allow more flexibility with student workers and allow them to have some say in the atmosphere of campus food service environments.
Pros
A blind monkey with no legs or arms could do this job, but it pays well. And now I have 20 words
Cons
Unions make the position pointless. You can't fire anyone, you can't discipline anyone. It sucks
Pros
The best reason for me was the client for which Aramark was contracted.
Cons
There is poor communication within the company. Employees are not supported. In my experience management is not familiar with hiring procedures, benefit information or job procedures for the account they serviced. There seems to be quick turnover on all levels within the company.
Advice to Senior Management
If you treat your employees as if they are expendable they will be. There is room for improvement in your cohesiveness as a comoany.
Pros
some flexibility because role required travel
Cons
didn't like it from the day i got there. outside of a few genuine people, mostly cut-throat and back stabbing.
Advice to Senior Management
wouldn't even know where to begin
Pros
The pay grade has moved up to a better level............However, there needs to be more.
Cons
The management needs to remember what it was like (if the ever knew) to be an employee instead of an executive! If it were not for our staff, we wouldnt be where we are today! TOO MUCH TURNOVER!
Advice to Senior Management
District and Regional Management as well as Directors need to be more aware and stand up for their employees instead of seeing every food service employee as a number!
Pros
Flexible with off days, some training
Cons
No genuine praise or appreciation, the management is not in tune with the employees
