    Pros

I only worked for ARS for a few months but had a pretty positive experience with them. Decent start-up pay plus you can earn extra money for generating leads.

    Cons

I was a lead generator and spent a lot of time on my feet. Invest in good shoes or at least inserts before taking a lead generator position

    Advice to Management

    None really.

I worked at ARS Rescue Rooter full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The workload is pretty steady as this organization is in a very "needed" sector. If you like to stay busy, you can easily, and they do pay you for your time. Full time employees receive a very fair UNH benefit package, and overtime is a must if you want to bank the money. With the cultures turn over the way it is, they will pay you to do more for a while before they replace any position. But you will get tired.

    Cons

This organization fosters a very aggressive Sales culture as opposed to a service culture which would coincide with their marketing. There is a lot of finger pointing, ego`s, and insecurities at every level of the company. No one cares about the workload you are required to do, until your finished with the task that they assigned priority to, then wonder in amazement that you are not 2 people and could not finish both at the same time. Then your on the "list", and you better sell something even if your not in"sales", if you want to keep your job, or at list get off the list for a day. Hiring and firing do to lack of training is the name of the game.

    Advice to Management

You have got to have more training for every level. From customer service who have to speak to customers about technical subjects, up to sales and service, who have to do the same in front of the client. The best model for at least Charleston, is to drop the sales positions, and just let the techs do it when they diagnose the system they are servicing. This keeps the client happy with one person that they trust, instead of dealing with a million folks as they write a 10K check. But train them first, then second, then third. Then train them all over again.

I worked at ARS Rescue Rooter part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent hourly pay; good supervisi0n; flexible scheduling in an emergency; positive attitudes.

    Cons

The bonus plan for rewarding the lead generator when a lead becomes a sale is just unacceptable. The lead generator has no real way of knowing what happens to their confirmed leads after the scheduled appointment. There is no transparency in that respect. I don't know how many leads turned into sales that I was never compensated for because there's no real way to track it. One of my managers said, "Well . . . you have to trust us." Sorry.

    Advice to Management

    Read the Con above.

    Pros

Company Truck, gas card, some good employees

    Cons

Management is terrible its like working for a bunch of high school kids. There are favorites with in the company if your not part of the click you get no work! Stupid same day late jobs and they expect you to work till 12am all while messing with your pay. Does not know how to distribute work properly only if you are in the "Click" will you make good money…

    Advice to Management

Learn to higher managers that actually know what they are doing, Listen to employees advice to help the company run smoother...Stop spending money on weather proof cellphones when you dont even leave the office to do anything productive.

I have been working at ARS Rescue Rooter full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you have the gift of gab/sales, a positive attitude and actively keep your behavior acceptable upbeat charismatic in a social setting and are a generally confident person especially with new unknown people all the time this job is for you. The upper management are all incredible people, wonderful teachers, are very friendly and will do everything in there power to make you succeed in your job role. This company starts you off with a higher pay than most and will keep giving opportunity for advancement as long as you prove your ability to get the job done right the first time and keep a strong steady pace. They like to promote from within and let people flourish. Acquiring this job was the best thing that has happened to me . This company is honest, quality, and only gives and deals with the best. Every day I learn something new and am looking forward to a long future with this company.

    Cons

Dealing with people saying no. But this is with any sales job. And like any sales job having winning behaviors and keeping your identity and your job role separate and at a ten on a 1-10 scale. You will be absolutely fine. This job is a breeze it's fun and it's fulfilling at the end of the day you feel like you did good for the world around you . Which is a great feeling

    Advice to Management

The managers are incredibly smart and confident with objections from potential clients. teach the social aspect of dealing with objections in real life situations by demonstrating how keeping confident charismatic positive and knowing what to say. So the ssa can take less "no's" as answers. And they can turn possible no's into closed "yeses"
