    Pros

Deep pockets, seems invested in the future and staying current with technology. Stability/job security (been with the company for over 14 years) Wide range of options/opportunities with locations throughout the US and global. Training and tuition reimbursement is made available. More recently, good employee discounts.

Corporate work environment, health insurance could be better when comparing with other companies in the industry. Work/life balance can be demanding at times…

    I worked at AT&T full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    - A lot of overtime
    - Good for people who like facing all kind of customers (customer that yell at you when is not your fault, customers curse at you when is not your problem, irritate customer demanding you need to fix the problem for them, etc....)
    - Shift swap between coworkers (which you can make change on the system between you two, as long as you two have no problem)
    - Constant update on the new products
    - 401k matching (80% of the 6% that you contribute at max)
    - Base salary are capped once it reach certain amount

    Cons

    - Management goes by who they like, not what you contribute (of course it matters, but the one that who knows how to make managers happy will always get what they want)
    - Always asking for number, number, number (you will be ask to sell something to customers that you truly don't see a point of why the customer should buy it)
    - If you just start, you will be closing everyday
    - No saying on the schedule, but you can ask, chance of getting it? around 0-1% of giving you the schedule you want
    - Counting cash at the end of the day
    - Bad management (some of the manager is not competent, they don't even know what they are doing, and the only thing that they are good at? simply discipline you all day long, that's what they good for)
    - Very rare to have good manager (if you happen to get a good manager, please be nice to them because they really do have a lot of pressure from the Area manager, and the Director, and all those nonsense. The people that only know asking for number and careless about the front line employee)
    - No commuter transit benefit (if you know what that is)
    - Every two week some of the employee will be require to stay late to do extra work (sometime you don't have the option of saying you don't want to)
    - Commission structure keeps on changing over time, so keep that in mind, and this is a big chunk of where your money reside at

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you see a customer qualify for some kind of new line or new device, you can ask if they want it or not. Don't try to bait customers into getting products or services that they are not going to use. Yes, it improve your number, and probably that's what every company is looking for, but how long can you keep that going?
