Pros
Opportunities to grow and take on new assignments are abundant.
Cons
Very large company that is sometimes slow to react to the market
Advice to Senior Management
Streamline the business units and sell off old technology
Pros
The pay is great
Great Benefits
Cons
Information slow to come from upper management
Advice to Senior Management
Speed up information
Pros
Good pay, benefits, commission and overtime pay. Great employee union, CWA.
Cons
At times stressful, need good people skills for occasionally angry and difficult customers. Some days all I do is customer service, depending on "luck of the draw". Sales quotas are unreasonably high. Sometimes there are 12-14 different target quotas to be met, (phone accessories, insurance, home DSL, roadside assist, etc.) Every month I worried about getting a write-up for missing quotas. Expect to be micromanaged on sales floor.
Pros
Great products and great services.
Cons
Very political, comission structure is all messed up.
Advice to Senior Management
Promote people based on performance not on who they know.
Pros
good pay, good work, good connections
Cons
lack of communication
red tape
favoritism
Advice to Senior Management
communicate better
Pros
work from home, the type of work is always changing so you will never become bored. Excellent leaders within the company, 401k
Cons
Sometimes can be long hours. Pay could be better. Lack of pension. Some dead weight could be removed. Opportunities for growth are hard to come by
Pros
It was a great place to intern. I learned a lot and the people I worked with were great. Lots of work with plenty of feedback.
Cons
Not a healthy management structure - open and clear communication vertically was lacking.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve the communication lines between management levels.
Pros
Salary and raises were very reasonable.
Cons
Lack of management training and knowledge.
Advice to Senior Management
Please put managers through proper training before releasing them to manage people (not processes))
Pros
6 month training program that prepares you to effectively do the job that they want you to do.
Cons
Work past the 8-5 work day, and usually working Saturday mornings.
Pros
People are great to work with, the work is very interesting and access to other people and information was promoted.
Cons
Lack of clear requirements and changing requirements based on marketing forsight made thejob as architect frustrating at times.
Advice to Senior Management
Streamline the many processes and gate reviews. I heard the phrase death by process voiced many, many times.
