Cons
They tend to under value their sales teams.
They're is rather high turnover.
Fear is used as the primary motivating force.
Complicated caped compensation plans which change drastically every year.
Advice to Senior Management
Look at your employees as more then revenue making machines.
Provide more recognition.
Pros
Pay and benefits, great products and services
Cons
lack of work/life balance and unscheduled meetings with less than a weeks notice
Advice to Senior Management

Pros
Great benefits, 3 raises a year, hourly pay plus commission makes for a very nice paycheck. Upper management needs refreshed and needs people with practical ideas.
Cons
The company seems to care more about business than the employee. If we did not have a union to represent us I do not see the company paying as well as they do or giving the same benefits. If they had their way it seems we would work 10+ hours a day and have one day off.
Advice to Senior Management
Ask your reps before making decisions on policy and sales incentives. It would be a good idea to create a team of reps that are there solely to give advice from the sales floor to help keep upper management up to date with daily happenings. Numbers hardly show the truth about a location. Good numbers or bad numbers, you can't understand a location without being there that is why a rep based team meeting with management would give the best feedback.
Pros
-You get to work with the latest technology
-Great local team to work with, share ideas all the time
-Set your own schedule, my management very willing to work with you on days off needed, etc
-Great Benefits! Best PTO I've had after less than 5 years (21 days off + holidays)
-Free phones, laptop and mileage
Cons
-No car allowance (we drive constantly)
-Constant checkups on hititng your numbers
-Comp has changed each year for the last 3 years
-No recognition or reward for growth over prior years sales
-Get dinged on churn, even on accounts you never setup. Churn is looked at up to a year from activation
-Inter-departmental communication issues. too many techs/customer service reps in all different departments just for company account managers to deal with
-Salary is a joke! yearly comp is ok.
Advice to Senior Management
-Pay your people well in salary..too many other account management jobs out there that pay much better with less work
-Provide a company vehicle or car allowance. Mileage doesn't cut it.
-Enough with the suit and tie for small business reps. Most companies we meet with our business casual or jeans. We aren't working with fortune 500 companies here.
Pros
Base and commision pay plan. Medical benefits for part-time employees and union position.
Cons
Retail hours of operation and standing for entire shift.
Pros
VERY GOOD LOCATION FOR BUSINESS, VERY HELPFUL MANAGMENT
Cons
to works for a company that are retail sale based, you have to be very good at talking, and talking people into teh deal. even tho that's not really necessary for the customer...
Pros
Great pay, great benefits, some good times.
Cons
LONG hours, no work/life balance as is promoted by company.
Advice to Senior Management
Not sure...
Pros
-Decent money for part time college student
-Union Backed
-Gain sales experience with quota structure
Cons
-Just a number, not a person, atmosphere
-Up sell everyone even if they are not qualified
-Do not take into account personal lives or schedule
Advice to Senior Management
I would recommend taking a stronger backing in your employees and their needs as well. The drive in this company is to maintain sales and produce even more sales in an industry that is seeing less new contracts and more renewals. The company does not take into account personal needs of their employees. As a part time employee going to school, I was told I would work 20-30 hours a week and have 3-4 days off (working 8 hour days). This was not the case. I was working 6 days a week, sometimes for 3 hours which was unacceptable but I was required to do so.
Pros
Benefits are awesome; Co-workers were instrumental in my decision to continue my employment there (it sure heck wasn't senior management)
Cons
Too bureaucratic; Only numbers-focused for promotions/advancement; Demanding work environment; Not customer-focused enough; Don't seriously consider employee suggestions for company improvement
Advice to Senior Management
Don't just focus on numbers for promotions/advancement; look at customer service record; Provide a humanized environment for customers and employees
