    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at ATA Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The only way to get on at ATA is to know one of the principals. The tech that work in the field seem to stay with the company for a long time.

    Cons

If you work in the business office the expectations are unclear and keeping the customer happy isn't as important as keeping the owner from meeting someone he thinks might do a better job in your position.

    Advice to Management

It's my company I can do what I want, is a philosophy that only appeals to other business owners, it does nothing to motivate employees.

I have been working at ATA Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good People. Easy to interview. Basic background check.

    Cons

Government Contracting. No long-term planing; for position, and career. Not a challenging environment. No opportunity to become a full-time Fed.

    Advice to Management

    It is what it is.

I worked at ATA Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very casual atmosphere, manager came in shorts and a t shirt most days. Flexible work hours. Very small company, everyone gets to wear lots of hats.

    Cons

Owner and sr. management don't always communicate what the current strategy is going to be. There are always plenty of good ideas, sometimes it's hard to know which good idea is being pursued today. Projects are often assigned and started only to be abandoned without notifying the person or people working on the project.

    Advice to Management

Nepotism got its own name because it's usually a bad idea.
