Pros
Government and federal clients for stability.
Cons
No professional growth and low salaries
Pros
ATSC is a good place to work for a mid-sized government contractor. The new CEO will put them on the right track adn get them back to where they were.
Cons
There is nothing bad from my point of view. It would be nice if there was more communication from management.
Advice to Senior Management
Communcate more with the employees as to the direction of the company.
Pros
Good medium size comany with above average pool of professionals.
Cons
Comany has't been growing in last few years.
Advice to Senior Management
They need to follow innovative strategies for company growth.
Pros
Location in Tysons Corner is good, and many people are terrific to work with and spend time getting to know.
Cons
Significant turmoil, decisions made and changed without communication or regard for employees, undeveloped strategy, leadership vacuum all mostly resulting from constant changes to leadership team. Hopefully 2011 will mark a baseline in the leadership team so that planning, strategy, process and the rest can be contemplated.
Advice to Senior Management
Know the business, take time to know the employees, develop a strategy, work with middle managers to develop a plan that is achievable...then lead, guide and support the plan (and middle managers trying to execute the plan).
Pros
Strong Project Teams and Project Managers. High client satisfaction. Good working relationships within teams and good cooperation and sharing between teams.
Cons
No vision, no leadership, executive team avoids communication and decision making. Poor benefits, and getting poorer. Employee morale issues generally ignored.
Advice to Senior Management
Concentrate on rewarding employees and growing the business instead of ignoring them and cutting costs. Focus on the big things instead of micro-managing the details.
Pros
Decent Benefits
Good work life balance
Lots of say in day to day tasks
Some smart folks who like to mentor each other
Cons
Limited increases after reaching certain pay levels
Stressful during task order renewal times, every October
Some uncertainty and turmoil after going public
Advice to Senior Management
Communicate and show a little more to the worker who do the job on client site as that is core business.
