Pros
Decent work atmosphere - they try very hard to make it a place you want to go to everyday. Local management are great - they listen, they genuinely care, and their doors are always open. Upper management (from those I've met) are "real". They make it very comfortable to talk with them - about anything.
Cons
Communication between departments can be lacking. Training could be more extensive. Watching those who work hard not get the recognition they deserve, but the people who slack off get praised at every turn - takes it's toll.
Pros
Benefits are good, pay is good, name recognition within Industry
Cons
Poor Senoir Management with no experience of US IT Market, lack of respect of US employees. It appears that all senior management (individuals that sit in offices) are out for their own personal well being.
Contast change and or firing/replacement/resignations of senior management 3 VP HR in 2 years, 3 VP sales in 2 years, numerous turn over in sales and sales management positions.
Senior Managment in office have numerous altercations. Most employess are in fear of losing thier jobs, out right openess of moving positions to UK or temporailry bringing UK employees to get support for or from management team.
Little or no hope of stock opitions for everyday employees
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your employees, all employees can not be bad employess, lead by example, be clear with your instructions. Stop the open warfare, and learn how to manage your employees. Treat employees with respect. Foster a good working environment with a solid business plan that is explained, understood by all. If managers do not want employess, exit them as soon as possible and do not post for their position(s) while they are still employeed with the company
Pros
Smart people, dynamic environment, international employees, interesting work, fun
Cons
Lots of politics, inconsistent management
Pros
good package, compensation + benefits are competitive or above
good brand awareness, people know who we are and what we do
Cons
new british VP does not know the market or the culture here and is not a channel person
guidance and training for the office is coming from flown in british leadership that doesnt know the market
aggressive way of managing, alot of yelling here, degrading remarks
technical support was moved from the US to the UK is sales next?
Advice to Senior Management
get leadership that leads
stop talking down and start training
show us there is a future that includes us
Pros
Base pay and benefits are good for me and for the role. Office location is nice for people that do not live in the city.
Cons
uncertain environment in the office. Productivity driven by fear and high goals to earn bonuses. Bonus is very hard to earn and seems not achievabl, no one is getting paid and no change is in sight.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to drive results like a real manager and build team spirit thru something other than fear. People work harder if they understand what they are supposed to do and who they are supposed to be working with.
Pros
Benefit package is good, product has brand awareness with prospects which make conversations easier to have. Getting an interview and getting hired was a breeze.
Cons
Lack of management understanding of the business, customer, interest in serving the customer, lack of management communication to anyone but direct reports, no accountability amongst management team members. As another reviewed wrote, this business won't last long with this management team.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep the customers we have while working to acquire new ones, don't just ignore the ones we have. Gain some knowledge of the security & technology field we serve. Learn how to communicate and boost morale within a team. Hold management team members to high standards & enforce accountability.
Pros
Some great people here who really try hard. Excellent feedback on some of the technologies/products compared to larger AV vendors.
Cons
Getting anything done can be a real challenge. Morale does not seem to be a primary focus. Overall strategy seems to change frequently. Open cubicle set-up can be very loud/distracting. No privacy.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve communication, follow up on promises made, provide mentorship where needed, encourage those who may be struggling and incent people financially.
Pros
The organization has good benefits that dont cost the employees any money on a weekly payroll deduction. That being said there are very high co pays and not the best options. You get what you pay for.
Cons
The Management team is very weak and inexperienced. The technology enjoys good name recognition but there is absolutely no tech support available for the Sales Division. Upper Sales Management hired all of their friends and noone wants to work with the other departments. Very small office and very clicky. Very dysfunctional atmosphere. Dont expect them to be in US very long with this Management team.
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize that Sales drives revenue and that the US based Tech Support team Management is losing the Company hundreds of thousands in revenue. Treat employees with respect.
Pros
The office relocated from Orlando, FL to Chelmsford, MA so I don't know if these still hold true: Excellent benefits, bonuses (depending on department), casual work environment, free software
Cons
They seem to relocate the office every time someone new is hired for the top position at the North American office. (every 1 to 2 years) It would make more sense for the person hired to relocate than for that person to move the office closer to him. Or maybe they could hire someone that is local to the current office - gee that's an idea.
Advice to Senior Management
Moving the office often makes the company look unstable and it's not right to force your employees to resign at a time when good jobs are so hard to find. For the sake of the current employees, I hope the company is going to keep the current office open for a long time so they don't get screwed like so many others did.
