No weekends most of the time, most people were friendly

    Cons

Work 55-70 hrs per week and they don't tell u this plusbefore hiring you. Not worth the pay all the stress. Poor upper management.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you divide the 60 plus hrs a weeks by your salary to see if it's really worth it.

I have been working at AVI Foodsystems Inc. part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You get free meals while working ($7 per day limit). Flexible hours (so you can go to appointments, etc.) Mon thru Friday work week. No weekends , paid holidays, and vacation time. If you work hard you do get noticed and have a chance for advancement.

    Cons

Not enough hours, pay, and they play favorites. The hard worker gets jumped for taking it easy for a day, yet the lazy employee that abuses the flexible hours, let's machines run empty, leaves out of date food/snacks/pop in machines gets away with it all.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the low man on the totem poll they are the ones making the money for the company. Raise pay for sure and make sure the lazy ones don't stick around long, replace them!!

    Pros

$5 daily food benefits for lunch. No night shifts and weekends off.

    Cons

Not enough hours No room for advancement. Worked here for 2 years and I personally don't suggest people to work at this company unless your desperate for money.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees before taking sides with managers. Our voices aren't being heard. And the favoritism should stop. Suggest training and support that WANTS to move up in the company.

I have been working at AVI Foodsystems Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My favorite part of this job is I rarely work weekends and I'm first shift so I'm always home at night. It's hard to find that in the food industry.

    Cons

It's hard working here sometimes because many people who work for the company either love food service or it is just a job for them. As a result you have mixed standards and expectations.

    Advice to Management

Stay true to your word. Stop hiding things. Everything doesn't have to be a big secret. 99% of the time everyone already has it figured out. Honesty and trust are very important attributes for an employee/boss relationship.
