Current Employee – been working at AXA Equitable full-time for more than a year
Pros – Very team oriented, give you the credit you diserve
Cons – Can over load their employee's at times, everything is priority 1
Advice to Senior Management – Learn to accept that some things might not get done in 2 days. It might take longer and give the people the room to do the work right and not rush. Also do not expect perfection.

Current Employee – been working at AXA Equitable full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – - Pay is fairly competitive for the Charlotte area
- Health benefits comparable to other companies
- Good products
- Dedicated employees who want to do the right thing
Cons – - Reduction in financial benefits (no 401K matching, reduced retirement contributions)
- No raises in 2012
- Opportunities to advance in the company decreasing - trend is to hire from outside the company
- Employees expected to put in longer hours - work-life balance off track
- Layoffs - lack of job security
- More and more work being sent offshore
- General feeling that employees can be easily replaced
- Loss of some outstanding employees due to decision to move office to the other side of town
Advice to Senior Management – Respect is a two way street. You made the decision to move the office to the other side of town shortly after many employees relocated to the Charlotte area and bought homes in the vicinity of the current office. What was once a 10-15 minute commute will now be almost a hour.

Current Employee – been working at AXA Equitable full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – While the compensation can see some improvement, overall AXA provides a fair compensation package. There are various programs available to each employee that aren't offered elsewhere.
Cons – The idea that working a minimum of 12-15hrs a day and weekends as the 'new normal' is absurd.
Advice to Senior Management – While we the employees would like the truth as to the state of the company, painting a grim outlook of constant work and little to no 'family time' should never be the 'new normal'. Just because those exact words weren't spoken doesn't mean that's not the message received by many.

Current Employee – been working at AXA Equitable
Pros – Culture, Joint work, best practices, unlimited opportunity. It has been 10 years and hard to believe. The support I receive from Sr. Management is second to none. Top rated firm, reputable name, benefits galore! If I had the choice to work for AXA or any other firm in the industry, I would choose AXA hands down.
Advice for new advisors: Be prepared to work hard. This is a challenging profession with a noble purpose.
My income has increased 10 fold because of my effort. The beautiful part of this business is "hard work over rides all."
Cons – Challenging profession. Let's be honest...what opportunity isn't challenging where the payoff is well above $100,000?
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to offer the executive path. I don't believe there is a better way to impact new advisors and work w/ clients.
