Pros
Branded name, performance, professionalism, working with high quality professionals, recognition, balance between professional life and private life, high competencies managers
Cons
I worked at AXA Investment Managers in Paris as an intern so some times as an intern I did not get the recognition I deserved for the job I did.
Advice to Senior Management
I do not think I have the capacity to give advice to the leadership at AXA Investment Managers, but if I must, I would say some more recognition would be nice to the employees
Pros
Friendly environment, quick learning, laid back
Cons
management, time organization, assignments, benefits
Pros
- Friendly atmosphere
- Good balance between personal life and professional
- Management is forward striving
- Decent facilities
Cons
- You can feel a little left out if you don't speak French
- Compensation could be a lot better
Advice to Senior Management
More effort needed to incorporate offices that aren't in London. Too Paris-centric. Compensation also needs to be improved to stay competitive.
Pros
People were really nice and helpful. I was an intern there. I had a well-defined project and my progress was monitored.
Cons
The salary was not that high with respect to the other companies. I had to make a presentation at the end of the internship, which was obligatory.
Advice to Senior Management
It would be nice to have classes on C++ as an intern and some HW assignments.
Pros
Good sector (insurance and asset management) brand name, global and stable business. Management has a vision, focus on growth and expansion so dynamic company.
Cons
Dominated by French, so if you are not French getting a top position is difficult (if not impossible). all disadvantages of a large company (highly political, inefficiencies,...).
Advice to Senior Management
French culture has some advantages and some disadvantages, so try to get rid of the latter. Tendency to act pro-cyclical when often anti-cyclical would be better.
