I have been working at Aaron's full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

You can achieve the G M level and beyond without a degree. You don't have to work 70 hours per week to produce the large salaries. The business can all be learned on the job.

    Cons

It can be a stressful environment. You do have to deal with thieving customers and people who are less than average intelligence. You will have to deal with insect infestations at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a stronger franchise accountability. Monitor those franchise owners who rarely visit their stores and allow multi unit managers to do nothing.

    I worked at Aaron's full-time

    Pros

There were really none other than I met some decent, hard-working people who are not treated very well.

    Cons

No one can make a decision. No one is empowered to make a decision. People are micro-managed. It is very archaic and a good ole boys club. Corporate offices are old, dirty and cold. They want to be top dog in their industry and a leader in Atlanta but function out of the 80's and under a cloud of negativity. No one says thank you and people are shocked when you do! Salary - OK. Benefits - Nothing out of the ordinary.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start managing the company like a corporation should be and allow your SME's to do what you hired them to do.
