I have been working at Abbott full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

120 year old company with world class products ..gives a sense of pride

    Cons

Fats accumulated at the top level with false ego..seniors who were the pillers are leaving the organisation..still continues all unethical practice's under the table, even with the knowledge of top management..

    Advice to Management

Growth should be shown by increasing the volume sales through ethical ways, not by deducting the poor field managers expense (T.B.M's)..

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Niemals wieder!

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Abbott full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Part of Abbott umbrella, potential for growth Good co workers

    Cons

Hectic environment Revolving door mentality 70% travel = 100% travel and when not traveling, you are stuck in the phone bank, answering panicked phone calls, no time for office work, expense reports, etc Long hours, low pay

    Advice to Management

Value your employee more, think of them as resources to grow - not warm bodies to replace

I worked at Abbott full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Resources are good, great training

    Cons

Results are demanded at the cost of the customer. Often following company initiatives get an employees in trouble due to the message sent to the customer. A "Machavellian Society" where everyone wants to take the credit for others efforts. Often people are put in place because who they know or do, not what they know. Management is ready to label a person and falsely offer help to perpetuate their career.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

It is an extremely warm place with few very good people around. Also, being an MNC, salaries may be reasonable.

    Cons

Very few growth opportunities. Often gets lost in the MNC culture of pleasing global and regional bosses instead of focusing on the right set of areas which will help drive business.
