Pros
Great work life balance with ample opportunity to take on more projects and responsibility. Great opportunities to network with many others in the field.
Cons
Promotions and moving across different departments can be challenging. However, this is balanced with a lot of stability in the company.
Pros
Once the employees know you then they are receptive to talk with. Lab are well maintained and seems nice to work with if a full time employee.
Cons
Many and many temp employees are much more knowledgeable than the full time employees.
About 35% temp employees. When I tried to apply for regular position even within the same organization no response at all.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire more temp to perm employees!

- not as many fun and interesting research projects anymore, mostly focused on production of their workhorse stents
- can feel like you're lost if you're not given as much support
Pros
Great Benefits: good medical/dental & 401k contribution
Cons
-It's about WHO you know! If you are a friend or related to Sr. Management you will be promoted, otherwise it would be very hard to get recognized or promoted, regardless your academic preparation, if you EE your annual PMP!
-My position was transferred to another country without giving me the opportunity to be relocated, no wonder US Jobs Unemployment rates are so high!
-Sr. Management accomodate the numbers for their own benefit = bonus!
-they will eliminate your position before you reached your 5th year anniversary, so you won't qualified for the retirement pension plan.
Advice to Senior Management
Advice to Sr. Management? Not worth it!

1- Fair Pay
2- Several systems are in place
3-Good training
Cons
1-You need to be certain type! to get promoted
2-Either your are part of the invisible cliq or not
3- No promotion if you don't meet to above 2
Advice to Senior Management
1-You already lost good people, please ask yourselves.
Pros
Pride in working to save and improve lives
Pay and benefits
Cons
Every group that is considered "overhead" is extremely under-resourced so people are burning out
No outside hires for 2 years now and the internal talent pool is dried up
Expectations of employees are beyond unrealistic
Middle and upper management is very clique-ish
Advice to Senior Management
Realize you are killing your employees with unrealistic expectations and inadequate resources and change that. Otherwise, when the economy improves, these people will quit and you'll be left with even bigger problems
Pros
Work with team of engineers to come up with the next discoveries. To save as many patients requiring stent. it's exciting field to save people's life. Less pain for patients since one of my close family suffered and died with complicate procedures.
Cons
Many rumours almost every month for the last several years about lay off which are very disturbing
Due to the constant rumours, everyone around works very hard not to share knowledge or experience. No respect for other opinion. Promotions are not based on any talent but based on how close from higher up management.
Advice to Senior Management
Management needs to stop and listen to their employees. Improve communication. Reduce stress. to be fair with every individual. Give more feed back.
Pros
1. Stable company
2. Great pay and benefits
3. Flexible hours
Cons
1. Moving some operation overseas
2. Little potential for growth if you don't fit a certain mold
3. Promotion take long time to occur.
