I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time for more than 3 years

ProsThe work environment is great, the people I work with are awesome and you get to make great relationships. The managers are really nice and they really care about you.

ConsA downside would be the pay, you get paid minimum wage and if you ever get a raise its only $.25

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

My time here has been full of stress, but has been rewarded with wonderful learning and advancement opportunities.

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time for more than 3 years

ProsIf you are someone who takes pride in their work, this is a great place to showcase your talents and commitment. It's great for detail and result driven people. There are also many to advance in the company, whether that be the management route, or the home office route, and lots of opportunities for everyone to learn.

ConsMost positions require someone who is very detail oriented, so be prepared for that.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep doing what you're doing, because it seems to be working!

Great Experience

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time for more than a year

ProsFun environment for college age people seeking part-time employment. You will meet a lot of people with similar interests. Also, will receive a great discount on their clothes

ConsThe pay is minimum wage and you will get minimal hours per week. Must abide by a very strict dress code which is basically only wearing their brand of clothes.

The A&F Home Office is a perfect place to start a career!

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time for more than 8 years

Pros- working with brilliant associates and very talented management

- a lot of latitude and trust in the responsibilities given to associates (fun/cool opportunities)

- the campus is state of the art. beautiful.

- team environment

- great PTO structure if you are salary... especially if you are there 5+ years!

- managers who invest in developing you professionally

- recognized for my contributions and promoted multiple times

ConsWhile I heard associates grumble about working too much, I think that is an individual's decision to leave/not leave at the end of the work day. I never had a manager approach me and tell me that I needed to stay later...

Advice to Senior ManagementKudos for making a fantastic work environment and handling the growth gracefully!

Loved working here!

Brand Representative (Former Employee)
Champaign, IL

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time for more than 5 years

ProsI had a wonderful experience here. I started at Abercrombie kids when I was 17 and when the store was shut down, moved over to Abercrombie. It was mindless work with a great atmosphere and amazing people to work with. I liked the fact that the managers weren't much older than I was as they were easy to get along with but still very efficient at their job. I worked here for 5 years and after going off to college I loved having the ability to still work when I came home on breaks and
summer.

ConsI honestly don't have any cons! I loved working on the floor, register and assisting in floor designs. My only con is any position in retail where you're constantly refolding clothes, but you should know what you're getting in to!

Advice to Senior ManagementThe Champaign store has closed, and its been 6 years since I've left, but I had a fantastic experience here!
