Pros
great people all working towards a common goal
fun environment, fast paced
great experience, growth, opportunity, benefits
Cons
long hours
unrealistic expectations at times
Advice to Senior Management
ask for more feedback from the field, restructure some departments to provide more avenues domestically for more store side/HO related positions. reevaluate expectation with measurable objectives to be more consistent company wide and the resources should adapt with the expectation, as well as compensation. create a relocation department with a better system to assist through entire process, possibly regional..
Pros
Everyone is really laid back...generally pretty attractive. Discounts at the stores. Overall it is a pretty good employer. I enjoyed it.
Cons
High-school type drama often goes on in the stores. Management sometimes is involved in the clique-ish type behavior as well.
Advice to Senior Management
I would say the associates should push the recruiting. Managers can sometimes come off as awkward. Keep loyal to the brand's intent.
Pros
Fun management and coworkers, very easy work.
Cons
Perfume in the air 24/7 + loud music = severe headaches.
Advice to Senior Management
More hours for models and impact members.
Pros
Fun environment
Constant interactions with people
Good atmosphere
Always doing something different
Never too slow
Unique interesting customer base
Popular brand
Cons
The low pay
The fact that it is retail makes it a pain during holidays
Many employees
Having to keep up with the clothing trends.
Advice to Senior Management
Perhaps get to know all of the employees better. Make all the employees work during closing. Have more interaction with customers.
Pros
flexible hours, dress pretty, easy going, and relax environment to work in. i would recommend people to give the company a shot.
Cons
minimun wage. the stores are often too crowded during the busy seasons, and we don't go on proper breaks as planned.
Advice to Senior Management
treat people with respect, and do not think you are better than the rest of the co-workers. other than this, it's all good
Pros
You get to work with genuinely cool people and empathetic managers. It's not meant to be a really intense job so the managers understand that you have other commitments (i.e. school, clubs); scheduling is very lax and it's generally easy to get shift covered when something comes up because of the large employee base. You also get 30% clothes and gift cards all the time and 50% two tops, a pair of jeans/shorts/a skirt, and a pair of flip flops each time the floorset changes (these are called AAAs. You will learn to love them).
Cons
When you are a part time worker for Abercrombie, you will make $7.25 an hour without a chance of a raise.
Advice to Senior Management
I genuinely appreciate the movement toward a more diverse employee base and the fact that my managers make sure to instill in all of my coworkers the importance of helping the customer. Everyone in the store realizes that customer satisfaction is imperative, and I really haven't any idea why the brand has still got a bad rap.
Pros
The discount, fun environment, free uniforms and the fact that you made friends easiy which made time fly by pretty fast
Cons
Sometimes you would deal with annoying co workers. The playlist would drive you nuts after a while, you hear the same songs for like two months.
Advice to Senior Management
I think you guys are doing a good job but sometimes ya give preferences to those who go t work to fool around
Pros
Good place for small part-time job and sometimes working your way into a manager position.
Cons
Poor pay (minimum wage) & poor ways of raises given out.
Pros
You can be running a multimillion dollar a year business within 6 months and only see your boss 1 of every 7 work days.
Cons
Having to pay minimum wage to part-time employees who have to spend 100$ on their work clothes every two months. Employee discount not any better than what customers pay.
Advice to Senior Management
More flexibility with what we pay our part-timers and how they are treated. We spend countless hours recruiting great candidates from Universities only to lose them they break of the cult mentality we've created.
Pros
Flexible hours good job if in school
Cons
No hair color
Nail color
No makeup
Min wage pay
Don't really care about the employee
