I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Mostly good music
    Actual Modeling oppurtunities
New Employee Discount- 50% off 2 full outfits at the store you are working
Christmas Discount- 50% off at any Hollister, Gilly Hicks, Abercrombie & Fitch

    Cons

Loud Music- Have to yell at customers over the music especially the older ones
i don't know if it is the same but there were so many rules and regulations of how you could look.
Call in shifts- never was really sure when you were going to have to work
New Hire rate was TOO high! everyone had about 2 set days a week.
This would be a second job. NOT a primary not enough hours and MINIMUM WAGE
Dark Store- People complaining about the darkness of the store
Corny Taglines- i hated saying the taglines in the front room. the one that was the worst was "Welcome to the Pier" then i had to tell them about a contest that was going on it was like a 5 minute spiel.

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Employee discount (even though it's just 30% and occasionally 50% on some items), not difficult work, I have known people who were sent to other countries to work at new opening stores abroad which is very exciting

    Cons

Minimum wage with very, very slim chance of a raise, boring, not fun, basically have to buy clothes to wear to work, no one really stays for a long time (although I have been here for two years, but have not moved at all for position or salary-wise)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give more incentives for people to stay longer and work harder, like pay raises or increased discounts
