I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved management. Positive energy everywhere. Sure maybe jeffries is crazy, and the customers can be annoying and gross (who leaves used tampons in a fitting room?) but seriously other than that I loved working for A&F. I worked for multiple stores with various titles as well as corporate office. Everyone I worked with was so friendly and so helpful including upper management.

    Cons

The pay is terrible, but for a high schooler college student/ anyone under the age of 19 working part time that is to be expected. If your going to work minimum wage jobs you might as well work somewhere you can meet great people and have fun.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't hire attractive management. It makes it too difficult to focus on folding stacks of clothes. If you must hire attractive management, ban the fraternization rule forever.

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch

    Pros

I personally wear Abercrombie so the 30% off discount is great. Also its really chill, and everyone has similar personality. Recently they rolled out a A&F Associate perks program.

    Cons

Some people can be rude but that comes with any job

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Use hours better, could schedule more help to close,

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch

    Pros

Flexible work hours, engaging managers who are always there to help you with anything that you need, and the best part is that you will have the opportunity to grow within the company if you do a good job.

    Cons

I don't have negative things to say about the company. I've worked at Abercrombie in two different occasions and loved it. I hope to be back soon!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to some managers at the stores would be to get to know better the impacts and the models. Sometimes it is hard, because Abercrombie has lots of employees, but it's not impossible.

    Pros

All your associates are good looking, fun to be around people. A lot of different backgrounds and things to talk and bond over. You all really become a family

    Cons

Look policy and store need to be perfect. Many secret shoppers- people disguised as shoppers but really come to make sure your customer service and store is perfect- enter the store.

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I working here is like working with all of your best friends. I love my managers and everyone I've met through the company. It makes for a fun and motivating workplace. There are always opportunities to take on extra responsibilities and there is a lot of independent work to show that you're a decent employee. Working with new customers all the time is also rewarding and interesting. Diversity is huge for the company, as well as LGBTQ equality.

    Cons

At some points, as with any job, it can get a little stressful if a lot is going on. Also sometime you just don't click with a person who you're working with, which can cause communication to become an issue. It can be hard to stay professional in such a fun laid back environment, just remember it's a job, not a social gathering.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I love my managers, but they sometimes forget to update you on important sales or other information you might need to give the customers the best possible experience. Always ask for a 5 minute meeting at the start of your shift! You're manager will appreciate it.

    Cons

    Pros

Easy going environment, great method of unconventional networking, a great way to meet new people and make new friends, great employee discounts on A&F apparel, and a relatively flexible work schedule.

    Cons

Low starting salary for models and impact (level) positions, standing for extended periods of time, sometimes tedious tasks, however these cons do not at all undermine the many pros of working at Abercrombie.
