If you want to work with VERY smart people from an outsourced analytic company - absolutdata is your company.

    Manager (Current Employee)

ProsUpper management have some of the smartest, articulate people I have met in the analytic industry. Also, I've never experience such a company with an positive emphasis on family and individuals. A birthday or anniversary will NEVER go unnoticed.

ConsSometimes there can be problems with IT data flow.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou are phenomenal. Keep doing what you are doing, please.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Idiocy served hot...

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsLots of parties, good location, initial offer will be good for laterals.

Consa)Compensation- Initial offer will be good... but since the way ADT treats its employees is so bad that he/she wants to leave within 6 months-1 year.... but coz of ur high package... it will be difficult for u to figure out a job
b)Training- Creating training module does not teaches the real stuff... needs implementation of those training sessions which is the biggest headache for the company... coz no one will take the ownership of implementation...
    c) Work life balance- It will be good when you don't have work...which will happen most of the times...disguised unemployment is quite high here...so learning wise it is a cond)Policies- Very weird policies such as Working from home needs COO's approval and all
e)Not so helping seniors- Just a level above Junior level, the standard of learning is definitely not up to the mark. This could not be helped as the seniors themselves do not know the basic stuff(w.r.t MR)
f)Processes- They are trying really hard to streamline the processes....really hard... but that is not helping as the employees are demotivated
g)No learning curve - Well...there will be no learning for you...remember... NO LEARNING CURVE
h)HR is not transparent at the beginning- HR needs to explain everything with more clarity... like the bonus component which is a part of Compensation... u will not get100% of it... remember that... so that part of the CTC is already gone out before you join ADT

Advice to Senior ManagementAnil Kaul is a terrific leader... but local leadership should let go the practice of favoring certain focused group. Just favoring certain group will create more hostile environment to work. Only parties will not bring people together. ADT needs more projects where in one might practice the training modules on live projects. Dummy projects will not be useful.

    Worst company ever!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsLocation
    Young people
Industry in which they operate is growing

ConsBad paymaster for entry and middle level.
They threaten employees if they want to leave and go to a much better company (which I will).
Highly Indecent people are team managers and leaders.
They work on crazy targets and will tell you to forget everything else and just do as the client is asking. They don't care if you're dying.
The HR is the WORST EVER. Highly favor people who are at a higher position. No objectivity in dealing with situations.
Young people looking for a start are exploited like anything with crazy work hours and very bad pay.

I'll rather sit at my home forever than work here.
Your career will be entirely spoilt if you join here at any level. Think 10 times.
I'll be quitting this place In the next month. Thank god for that!

Advice to Senior ManagementCompletely replace the HR team.
    Be a little employee oriented.

Yes, they goofed up, but it seems to be changing now

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

ProsGrowing company & dynamic in nature - which gives you an opportunity to do much more
    New challenges every day
Some of the most cutting edge work in the industry
Flexibility - no one to keep tab on what time you come in, what time you leave. As long as your project is ok, you're ok.
Flexibility to take initiative - irrespective of what level you're at, you can take organisation level initiatives and with the culture only supporting you
    High visibility
You get to be part of many firsts
Changing for the better - new initiatives, gradual change towards transparency. the company seems to have gotten sensitised to employee care

ConsSame challenges as any small set up. workstations are small, you have to ASK for tissue paper, the cafeteria is small, you don't get a cab to pick you up at your door...but not something that'll kill you. How often do you take up an offer based on these parameters?

But they do have a long way to go.

Advice to Senior ManagementConnect with the grassroot as much as possible. That isint happening now. And please eat in the cafeteria with your people

Paid Reviews are of no good

Research Analyst (Current Employee) Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

Pros1. Got Great people over the last 2 / 3 years who have joined from professional outlets

    2. The office is in Cyber City which is not too bad considering that
2.1 Got Good Eateries around the office (CyberHub)
2.2 Got a watering hole nearby
2.3 The Dhaba has great food nearby

    3. Some Teams actually do some good work

Consa. The leadership team does not care about your career

    Let me explain:

If you want to put your career by just looking at the credentials, think again. The leadership won't understand the value of people and can fire you any day.

If you are Marketing Research professional, tomorrow you can be placed into CRM just because there has been over 80% of attrition.

The leadership cares about what client's say and not the mangers or the employees :)

    b. CEO has not spent over 1 month in India over the last 18 months. Really has not even addressed the problems around here.

    c. Values are fart!

None of the values are practiced by the leadership team

    d. HR is a joke

    Please explain:
    a. Asking employees to write good reviews on Glassdoor is not what you have to do
    b. Stop posting Fake Reviews
    c. Explain 135 People Attrition over the last 6 Months
    d. Explain downsizing because the leadership did not know the individual

Advice to Senior ManagementStop wasting time and luring candidates to make a bad decision to join AbsolutData. Paid reviews can only take you so far and you have to make sure that you work to get results.

Don't threaten your employees or pay HR to give you fake reviews.

No long term vision, focus on short term goals leaving to high employee dissatisfaction

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

ProsFor lateral hires they pay well. They do get some good project works hence the learning is not an issue.

Cons- Pay discrepancies are high across people at same levels, Work life balance is not a concern of the organization and you could work for 24 hrs without any appreciation,
    - Looking at short term goals, they wld pay u if u put down your resignation and ask for money. It feels like anyone who has done well in the company/stayed for a good number of years can get this done for self and then leave,
    - Discrepancies in terms of grades that this company allocates to MBAs from different colleges, but doing same work
    - Top management in-capable of running the company as no one here looks at long term goals, they look at short term benefits. Although a few show a long term perspective, but never really look at it the moment they hit any short term issues
    - HR incapable of performing as function -> No transparencies in any process (small - matter related to LWP or big - Performance appraisals), although they have started to claim this but little is felt. Hiring handled by HR is the worst and the company took a very big brunt last year buy hiring too many and then left at firing them this year along with hiring not good lateral folks leaving team demotivated. HR headed by one of the founders doesn't look like would be going anywhere as the person seems incapable in taking any decisions apart from arranging Social work for dogs. Getting involved of her into last year's appraisal for each individual in a company was disastrous as it resulted in people liked by her getting pulled up and other pushed down in ratings without any rational reasons.
    - Values - Although the company claims to have five values and have also printed them on all the walls across office, but hardly anyone follows them. We have seen 0 examples where leadership has shown any instances of following them, in fact a few instances have occurred where the sr leadership does not follow it. These are used as a tool to fire people from the company if they want to by the Sr. management, but close ones to the top management are safe.
    - Quality team - another example of failure as a function is this team. They keep making and putting up processes for the project manager (which BTW increases their burden) rather than identifying and automating processes that would actually be helpful. They feel proud to have got ISO certificate for the company but this was done when employees with pirated s/w were juggled so that they dont get caught by Auditors ( another example of values not getting followed at organization level)

Advice to Senior ManagementI do not have trust that any advice would be taken seriously or the top management is even capable of taking any advice as they seem to be bit arrogant. If they can, i feel the first thing they need to do is become HUMBLE. rest of the things are long off as of now

ConsInadequate training, inefficient allocation of work.

Advice to Senior ManagementEmployee engagemtent and satisfaction needs to be seriously looked at and made more efficient
