    Pros

Upper management have some of the smartest, articulate people I have met in the analytic industry. Also, I've never experience such a company with an positive emphasis on family and individuals. A birthday or anniversary will NEVER go unnoticed.

    Cons

Sometimes there can be problems with IT data flow.

I have been working at Absolutdata

    Pros

Good exposure the tools and techniques and with client communication.

    Cons

Last years appraisal was very bad. Lot of folks left the company thinking it might go bankrupt.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your lateral hires get high salary and are not competent enough to work at those levels. You should promote your in-house grown talent to work at those levels to avoid the brain drain.

I worked at Absolutdata full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Flexible working hours
    - HR policies becoming more employee friendly and easy
    - Infrastructure going through a revamp
    - Great growth opportunities
    - Open-door policy
    - The kind of exposure you get is phenomenal - haven't experienced the learning curve anywhere else

A lot of feedback written here sounds more like personal revenge rather than honest feedback on the organisation. Overall my experience was great and empowering.

    Cons

    - Proactive communication missing
    - Decision time is slow

I worked at Absolutdata full-time for more than a year

    Pros

good intelligent people are hired....very nice people to have around ....but doesn't allows them to use their full potential...they pay well and are pretty open in terms of the overall company culture....

    Cons

no work life balance, very autocratic. it is not well structured and hence the work never ends....there are calls at odd hours in night....after they got the funding....they expanded like crazy but couldn't get the business to survive and hence now are at a downfall....they are firing like crazy...many people specially in the senior and middle management have already moved out...not a very stable time for the company currently

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

get rid of the various layers...most importantly, set-up a system to get downward feedback..!!

I have been working at Absolutdata full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    1) Good growth opportunities specially if you do well (not meant for average performers)
    2) Growing industry
    3) Culture amongst employees (excl. management and senior managers) is very good

    Cons

    1) Senior management is bad - they lack empathy, may listen to your problems but don't really resolve them
    2) Lack of respect for internal/existing employees - company would rather hire from outside than promote from within
    3) Decreasing business, less money

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1) Focus more on the core employees you have - they are your building blocks, getting new/fancy talent from outside will not improve the company
    2) Be more responsive and transparant

Former Employee - Analyst  in  Gurgaon, Haryana (India)
Former Employee - Analyst in Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

I worked at Absolutdata full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The only good thing was that because I was so frustrated, I worked doubly hard for MBA exams (to get out from here, of-course) and eventually ended up at one of IIM ABC

    Cons

Where do I begin. The firm is ripe with inefficiencies and mismanagement. Will list them down in the order I remember -

    - I joined as an Analyst in the CRM group. However, I was assigned to the team which was eventually handed over to the Programming department. So you hire an IITian, put him in the worst team possible with zero market value and no learning at all, while his peers are getting much better opportunities in other teams. And when you raise this issue, the only response you receive is - we have a good plan for you ahead. Great way to give an ego boost. By the way, that good plan never came
    - The mid level management is pathetic. They are all from low-rung institutes and may be because of insecurity issues, try to bring down the growth of junior analyst who are much much better at everything
    - No fair evaluation process. In-spite of putting in a lot of efforts, the only thing you get is - 'This is something regular'. I mean WTF??
    - Sudden change in policies. The company maintained good rapport with the employees until 2011, when it used to grant generous promotions. But a change in the leadership, brought everything to a sudden halt. When I was 18 months in the company, I had a salary difference of more than 50% from my immediately senior batch when they were 18 months into the firm
    - HR does not know how to handle recruitment. They bring in the worst lateral hires
    - CRM leadership was even more despicable - if at all this is possible! The manager openly told everyone, I control everything and I would staff people as per my wishes
    - A co-employee, who was absolutely crass in learning and implementation, got the same rating as s/he used to be better at **managing relations**
    - No work from home policy. Apparently, you are charged half a day's leave it at all you avail it
    - The senior management lives in complete denial. Although fully aware that the situation is dire, never take any remedial measures
    - One co-founder is simply there to enjoy the perks of being a co-founder. No vision or leadership at all
    - Mid level and senior level managers grant additional benefits, breaks, authority, appraisal to one particular employee who is closer(read related) to one of the co-founder
    - No transparency in anything
    - No taxi benefits to employees who are working late
    - Attrition in CRM has been close to 80% in the last 6 months or so
    - The IT setup is the worst possible. It gets stuck almost every other day, and even more when there are immediate deadlines

I could go on, but if you read until here, I guess you get the gist. The company has signed its own death warrant. Being from an IIT, and now an IIM does attach some credibility to my post, I hope. Avoid this firm at any cost, I would say.

I worked at Absolutdata full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good Work if you are working on Client site...

    Cons

1)Just fake your work especially if you are at client site and get free promotions every year...dont worry your manager would not even bother if you have done anything or not...so just fake your work and chill

2)Pathetic leadership..Even my primary school principal was more sensible and responsible than the leadership here.

3)Felt like I was working as an house keeper for a family. They just want to hear one thing from Employee "YES"
