The working climate is agreeable and it appears that management does listen to lower level employees. Benefits seem to be in line with the top companies with choices.

Cons

The company is going through some growth and does not seem to have a clear focus on the role of investigations and analysis employees. There appears to be a lack of understanding of what the investigative role could do for clients and, as such, there seems to be a hesitancy by top management to listen to its employees with top level investigative experience. The lack of understanding might come a fear that the law enforcement background employees might eventually turn the company into just another security company. The synergy that should exist does not seem to.

Advice to Senior Management

Relate to employees what the long term goals and mission of the company are in more specific terms rather than using the prose that does clearly state that.

Pros

No one does what we do, so if you like to geek around it can be fun. Management is loose, so there isn't much pressure.

Cons

Compensation is terrible.
Senior management is not competent or mature.
Questionable ethics and financial practices.
Been a money-loser for years. How long can this keep up?
Comic nepotism.

Makes a difference in helping to track and manage assets.

Cons

With each newly released version of the product, alot of new de.fects are then found.

Before releasing new product offerings, make sure to fix or prevent major legacy defects

The people are great, easy to work with and friendly. The technology behind the product is extremely interesting. The direction of the company is promising.

Cons

It is in transition to become a bigger company and the growing pains that go along with that.

Absolute Software is a great company to work for. The company will continue to grow as the company and its products have a lot of potential. At Absolute the people are great, employees and management alike. It has a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, the environment and feel in the office is a very friendly one.

Cons

At this time I can not think of anything worth mentioning.
