    Pros

    Labs are well-funded. Various collaborations among labs speed up the progress of research. Average salary is higher than R.A. paid by Ministry of Science& Technology.

    Extended working hours which happens in most of R.A. position.

    whole sinica is located in a desserted place

    1. My boss is a Nobel Prize winner, and I can learn lot of things from him
    2. My colleague are also exceptional.

    Cons

    1. Because we're doing some experiments about laser, we can see the daylight. It'll make me a little blue. That's it.

    Pros

    Excellent research environment with abundant equipments and co-operative team. Flexible working schedule leading to excellent work-life balance. A lot of seminars going on everyday, which is a good source for research inspiration.

    Cons

    Compensation was only enough for living in Taipei. Also, the location is remote, far from downtown Taipei. Lunch option is limited and long transportation time.

    it would be really great if you work on a good project with a good supervisor, you get the knowledge and some contacts on your professional field

    be careful with the projects, make sure if it's more academic or practical one you wanna do

    Flexible working enviorement can have balance between life and work. nice place to doing research for pursure a higher degree in next few years.

    Cons

    Lower average salary than industry. Not a permanent position, need clear future plan in your mind before you take the job in Academia Sinica.

    Pros

    Opportunity to work with the best research scientists in Taiwan. Lots of collaboration. Plenty of talks.

    Cons

    Too much pressure for such a small salary. Not much permanent positions for non-PhD degree holders.
