Pros
- looks good on resume if you are in consulting
- if you like the work and the people it can be a rewarding experience.
- Accenture offers an unusually large number of vacation days
Cons
- the company is too large, almost impossible to get to partner level
- not all partners have the same interest in retaining top quality employees
- for services workforce salary increases can be very disconnected from your performance, seems like the annual process is designed to build in excuses for why increases are small
- deadline driven culture means that there are frequent periods where long hours are expected.
- services projects are structured around the notion that you have to be at your desk to be productive, telecommuting was frowned upon.
