Pros
Good Benefits
Good Clients
A good portfolio
Great work environment
Cons
Nothing about agile methods
Too much crunch time
Advice to Senior Management
Bring more Agile Methods
Provide more feedback
Stay close to your team
Pros
Best people, value creator, global network
Cons
Low salaries, does not have balance in life x work
Advice to Senior Management
creating opportunities for the employees is the best way to keep them in the company
Pros
- Important and global clientes, making on the job learning very significant
- Global company (even though I haven't personally interacted with international projects)
- St. Charles: great opportunity to meet co-analysts and increase network
Cons
- Under paid if compare to market and to workload (underpaid means almost half of what the market offers for the same position)
- Very little (or zero) work/life balance
- No transparency regarding the promotion process. I have seen people being promoted without a clear performance on the superior level, even though the company says that in order to be promoted, one needs to be clearly performing on the next career level.
Advice to Senior Management
- Spend time trying to identify talents and nurture them, develop them so that they can generate positive and long lasting resultas, for clientes and internally.
Pros
I worked with an excellent team on a very important project. We used to work a lot but the results were awesome.
Cons
Sometimes I had to work during the classes to deliver tasks.
I used to work until late hours every day.
Pros
Their framework of knowledge / methodologies - a must for any management or IT professional.
Cons
Not well paid until consultant - should get there after 3 or 4 years in the market; but then, there is no way to get promoted. So take advantage to learn their methodology, make networking and take off!
Advice to Senior Management
Create more opportunity for clever people and less oportunity for smart people. If you keep only the sharks and the mediocres, your methodology will be made in an Ivory Tower...
Pros
Health Insurance package . .
Cons
The salary is not compatible with market
Advice to Senior Management
. . . . .
Pros
Good Health Insurance
Looks good on resume
Big Clients and Projects
Cons
Untrustful colleagues, who will take the credit for you work
Bad managers who can't negotiate decent deadlines with customers and promise everything, after you have to find a way to deliver.
Bad salary
Advice to Senior Management
Sell feasible projects!
Pros
Great place to start and great place to finish your carrer
Very competent and skilled people
A lot of trainings available, most of them free
Cons
Very low payment, very far from market
Low recognition
Very dependant promotion, you depend on your Mentor, your Leader, your Manager and if there's an opportunity.
Advice to Senior Management
More recognition, more satisfaction. More satisfaction, more happiness. More happiness, better work. Better work, more money for the company. It's a cycle, and it works.
Pros
It is a great professional experience.
There is a lot of client facing.
It is very common to perform a role above your position (i.e. Analysts to play Consultant roles, Consultants to play Manager roles, and so on)
Cons
Compensation is unfair. It is almost half of market average.
Over hours are demanded every day but they are not paid.
It is almost impossible to have a feed back from your manager. Though a process is in place, leadership just refuses to do it unless HR formally requires so.
The evaluation process is very subjective. Though you are evaluated against the objectives you set with your manager, other leaders that never worked with you can influence your final grade. So, during the meeting when the grades are set, the mentors that shout the most obtain the better grade for the mentored, and your real performance is almost not taken in account.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide feedback more often.
Make the evaluation process more transparent and less partial.
Make compensations at least competitive with market average. (Today meal tickets pay's less then a Whooper per day)
