Pros
Very Structured and follows standard management formats
Abundance of training materials to learn and gain experience
Great people with industry knowledge
Varied industry exposure
Cons
Travelling if you are a consultant
Not one of the top pay masters
Pros
Accenture is committed to their employees, provides opportunity for professional growth, cares about your health by providing incentives with their wellness programs, openly discusses challenges/opportunities within all the workforces and verticles, continually utilizes innovation for change, strong knowledge exchange portal, promotes creativity and innovation, provides a global experience and opportunity, provides a 100% matching 401k program (up to 6% of annual earning) immediately, offers employee stock purchase program, career counselors and peer advisors, strong community ties
Cons
The innovation can cause change as early as every 6 months, openly discusses challenges/opportunities, some workforces are paid better than others,
Pros
Great place. Good work and life balance. If you you have nice manager and sr. executive then it is great. Nice bonus most of the time.
Cons
Promotions are not common. People who have good network only get promotions and you will not go anywhere if client needs you at a place.
Advice to Senior Management
Give promotions to employees who are asking for it. If you stick to keep employee at client you will loose it.
Pros
Great people, opportunity to work remotely, benefits
Cons
Low compensation, not competetive with competitors
Advice to Senior Management
Leadership is solid.
Pros
Good opportunities for career skills growth
Cons
Limited opportunities if you stay too long.
Pros
Perks, access to nationwide opportunities.
Cons
Outsourcing means doing another company's job for essentially less pay and benefits. Not knowing who is accountable to who and whether they work for the same company as you do.
Advice to Senior Management
Expect more communications ability from supervisors.
Pros
Company Name, Benefits, Company Sponsored Events
Cons
Poor Management, Poor Work/Life Balance
Advice to Senior Management
Reward and recognize employees for their contributions and work abilities, rather than how many social events they attend
Pros
Travel, Learning Opportunities, Methodologies, People, Opportunities for Leadership
Cons
Promotion Process, Work Life Balance, Project Selection Process (HR rep doesn't always allow freedom to choose projects)
Advice to Senior Management
Take time to provide in-depth and accurate performance feedback instead of providing typical non thought out responses
Pros
Large company with many talented people.
You are in charge of your own career path.
Opportunities to learn many cutting edge technologies.
Cons
Your Mileage May Vary - All depends on the project.
Depending on the project, work hours can be very long and also weekend works.
Advice to Senior Management
Really need a better performance evaluation system to retain talented people. I see many talented and hardworking people are treated unfairly when it comes to promotion and laddering.
Pros
Very smart people and knowledge capital / sharing
Cons
under-payed, pay not consistent for levels, some managers making more than senior managers, etc., annual performance management system not aligned with project performance
Advice to Senior Management
Don't let good people get away, be more competitive in retaining good people, it's usually something very simple and very little to keep an employee from going to a competitor
