Pros
Being in the Consulting-Services part of the company , the perks , face time with senior management and other peers was great. There were long hours ..... yes ..... it was a pain , but some how it was worth it. Work was challenging but ... could have been better.
Cons
The senior manager and managers are so full of ego , have a tendency to favor their elite set of colleagues or friends who they have worked with earlier. The managers in their eagerness to lower project costs , dont allow relevant admissible benefits to employees which is present in the company policy. One senior manager was so callous as to threaten employees with termination if they could not get job done , which they are not trained to do.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat all employees with respect and fairness they deserve. Listen to your own colleagues before you decide on a course of action
Pros
I believe Accenture is a great brand to work with, inspite of its size the company is quite nimble and still provides ample opportunities to grow.
Almost everything is great about the company expect some minor issues.
I would highly recommend Accenture especially for SAP professionals and Management Consultants
Cons
Accenture at India doesn't have great IT support department / infrastructure especially working with IT department for small issues also gets very time consuming.
Office timings are pretty long in India 8.30-6.30
Advice to Senior Management
Management should look at reducing office timings and concentrate in nurturing Indian talent for long term benefits. Company should provide more client facing roles to offshore guys.
Pros
The brand name is great
Good learning opportunities if things fall in place, well
Senior Management is very helpful and a good listener
Gurgaon center is still growing, so good to grow with the organization
Cons
Gurgaon center has very less projects, limited choice of work
Pay packages vary like anything among similar level positions
Middle management isn't that effective
Advice to Senior Management
Please bring in a 360 degrees feedback process.
Try focusing on the middle management recruitments. A lot of undesirable environment gets invited just because of few bad recruits/employees.
Pros
- Well if you enjoy pure politicking and playing dirty office gossip this is the place to be
- Will give you exposure to average level/below average level Mgmt Consulting work
Cons
- Politics - high level especially in India Domestic Practise and even now in their Global Talent and Innovation Center
- Unmeritocratic
- Rotted and corrupted till the very top in leadership
Advice to Senior Management
Forget it as these are the guys who are responsible for all the mess. Do you think they would let the golden goose go?
Pros
Brand Name used to be very good.
Good Paymasters
Now influx of some stupid politician types have deteriorated the whole setup.
Cons
Beaurocratic setup
You can be sent to any place away from your base location without considering whether you have kids studying in school or spouse employed in the city.
No respect for individuals only designation.
Too much of chamchagiri.
Will make yoy unemployable after staying here for some time.
Advice to Senior Management
Wake up sid...:) if brand is to be preserved. Market perception is already hit badly. Try reducing the policies, levels in the work force...so many incompetent employees are there..
Pros
Extensive online knowledge repositories and domestic business
Cons
The recruitment team in Gurgaon is a bunch of non trustworthy people who will make several unfulfilled promises.
Work is low quality - especially in GTIN.
BUttering Managers - most hierarchial organisation ever - car parking available to managers only
Advice to Senior Management
Be realistic - you cannot pay same salary to someone with 8 years experience and someone with 2 years experience. Indian MNCs are better managed than Accenture India Consulting
Pros
Long term projects, helping you to understand different areas of expertise and weaknesses of client while working onsite
Clear KPIs defined for assessing performance of employee
Cons
Poor work life balance
Employee not able to finish the trainings due to extreme pressure of performing for client
Advice to Senior Management
Increase the trainings for people working at client site since they are the ones who are generating more revenue
Pros

nice team and colleagues. less stress in employee.
pretty decent work life balance over all .

culture of the company is good for technical people and for sales people.
Cons

Sales guys are not educated enough to hunt right projects.
Dead-lines are always impossiblem and situation doesnot seem like it's going to get better here,.

They need to listen to lot of great advice coming form within the company.
