I have been working at Accenture full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

They do great work and have some great clients. They are producing work on the cusp of the future and have a global network.

    Cons

Internal functions haven't been overhauled for decades, a lot of internal functions are outsourced, they are still thinking like an accountancy firm in the 80's when it comes to Hr, Recruitment and Talent management. .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a moment to look at your own business and its processes then compare them to your clients, you wouldn't advise them to follow your HR model.Linked in have built a billon dollar business on the basis people are a businesses' biggest commodity and Accenture still treats everyone like a number.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. HR policies are moderate.
    2. Lots of Team lunch and Team Dinner usually with almost all projects.
3.If you are lucky to get good peers you can manage to learn things.Again that does not depend on Company.

    Cons

    1.Worst work Life balance.
    2. Poor canteen
3.Very poor infrastructure. In fact Accenture does not have its own building.
    4. Very Poor Hike.
5.People are always in fear of loosing the job.
    6. Other than ASEs there are no faces found with job satisfaction.
    7. Does not implement new tools and hence no new things to learn.
    8. Very biased culture.
    9. Gender discrimination is high.
    10. Management can ruin your whole career just for partiality, for benefit of their close ones and will not feel shame to say " Sorry the decision to ruin your career is from higher management, but actually you does not deserve this worst. But cannot help though you work so hard and responsibly for one full year and we all know that the project is standing partially because of your hard work".
    11. False promises are made.
    12. Management think employees are only resources and are their puppets.
13.Management is giving stress to recruit more ASE s as it will make profit to the organisation. Thus the expertise is getting lost.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please change your culture and give respect to employees and their hard work. You have moved far away from Accenture ideologies.Eliminate people from organisation who have already turned it as our normal Government offices giving benefits to those who are buttering while people who actually are performing are neglected and also their career are getting ruined here.Otherwise only fake people will be left over in the organisation praising and buttering each other.

No policy or HR that would genuinely help workers, who work very hard as laborers. Avoid it. Biggest mistake of my life.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Have exp of 6 years here. Pros probability is just about 10 to 20 % and based on many ifs/great lucks and fightings you put in for those.
You might get good challenging work to learn.
    You might get onshore opportunity.
A lateral may get good salary.
You might get good people who treat resources as human beings and not just as delivering machine.

    Cons

All policies against employees and employees are bonded labors with minimum of 3 months notice period.
High politics and employees won't be given proper reason for bad ratings and no hikes.
And once you get a bad rating it is effective for minimum of 2 years, where that rating will be considered and you won't be given promotion or hike for many years without any reason - believe me even my grievances were not answered.
Mostly you will not get good work mapped to your profile. Only 6 months to 1 yr ,out of 6 years, I have got good work for my profile, after very good fight and now difficult to move out with such less experience.
You will be forced to go work in any location in India and any role, even if it is not mapping your skillset, as per the needs of the company and you cannot refuse anything, as per company policies (well off course there will be minimum one or 2 policies which is against you in all such discomforting situations).
Working hours are more - minimum of 9 hrs and you cannot refuse over time work.
And you will be always threatened of giving bad rating , if you open your mouth against anything. And as any manager can escape from giving bad rating without giving good reason and the consequences on the employee is very bad , employees will work as laborers. And off course such employees have good chance of getting good rating and promotion , where hike can be good. Remember only a handpicked employees enjoy luxury in the company and others move out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think out of the policies(like out of the box). Some managers are good but have become victims of process and policies. Give resources some space to breathe and ask them what they need. Rebuild all policies.

    Pros

Global company with well presence in many countries.

    Cons

Extremely self centered culture. You show your best to your supervisors and they show you their worst.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give chances. Promote for sharing. People come from different backgrounds and have different experiences, respect that. The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg, this is why common sense is so important.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Brand name, salary for freshers

    Cons

Internal projects are nightmares, they dont have any devlopment projects all they have is support projects, they will change your skill like from java to asp.net at their will, you are not your own master, the conversation you made with anybody in company only happened if it happened on mail, they dont give a damn about somebody's helpless situation. A friend of mine had some family problem, and he just asked for relocation from a city to another city near his hometown, and what he got is termination. This is the most cold hearted company i have ever seen. Freshers beware you have no future if you are working on any of their internal tool. Even the bloody TLs n project managers dont have any answer to this question, "if i try to switch what will i say in my interview, because the tool i am working on is not used in any other company?". To this particularly my manager responded that we wont let you go n all rubbish.
