I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

+ Truly global and multidisciplinary environment. You have access to help from SMEs on virtually anything
+ Your skills remain automatically market relevant as they need to be sold to client regularly
+ In many client companies, IT is seen as a cost item. At Accenture you are generating the revenues and valued accordingly.
+ High performance culture, drive for meritocracy, opportunities to grow

    Cons

    - Need to work hard to maintain work-life balance especially on higher career levels

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There are many high-performers who do not want to be promoted. The reward model for this group could be developed further.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Excellent network of people
You will grow your business skills and grow as a person
You will learn how to think like a consultant
You will do good work for your client

    Cons

    Politically challenging
It's difficult to build teamwork when you're not sure who has your best interests at heart
As a consultant in general you have little to no responsibility for your own success, it can be based on how sane your client is or if your boss supports you

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't promote based on who has been there the longest/knows the material. Detail-oriented people can be the worst leaders.
