I have been working at Accenture full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I enjoy working for Accenture because they are a growing strong company & a lot of present opportunities starting to become available to us employees if given the chances. Accenture offers cross training sessions for great performances within production of the clients. I would love to relocate through Accenture and remain with the company long term. I will continue to pray on it..

    Cons

I have experienced no growth just being stagnant positioned on this 2nd platform, when inquiring about other positions there is no backing of support with consideration for us committed employees who are interested in crossing over to other platforms. There is a lot of passing the buck and shoving employees off to the next person, who are looking for help assistance and guidance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to lead by better example that the Town hall meetings conducts and discuss.
Make Time for potential inquire employees who also looking for changes and flexibility.
At Management Convenience they expect a lot from the employees, but the employees can't expect a lot from them.
Get to know your employees better by interacting personally, not through the grapevine.

I worked at Accenture full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

For the most part, people are valued and have the ability to speak up in the organization. Great collegial and teamwork culture.

    Cons

Accenture is continuously evolving its model and in some groups things can tend to take on a more "industry" type look where it's not so much up or out. In those areas people can be complacent and lose their edge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep enforcing the feedback mechanisms that made the company great.

I worked at Accenture full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The opportunity to learn politics as well as technical skills. The company makes a true effort to be accessible for the employee to get training through classes or networking.

    Cons

Experienced hires have a disadvantage, as they are learning the culture as well as competing against well informed lifers. It is very important to latch on to someone who can show you the ropes on worklife balance, and navigating your career. If you don't fight for it you wont get it. Alignment to wrong division can really mess up your career growth. Promotion is very difficult and a crap shoot. it is all about ensuring that you have a good team supporting you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on finding a way to incorporate experienced hires. There should be a more extensive training for experienced hires on learning how to navigate their careers.

I have been working at Accenture full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Strong emphasis on work/life balance, including flexible schedules and opportunities for working remotely on occasion
    - Great people, there are very few people whom I've worked with that it would not want to hang out with after work
    - The work is interesting, you get a bit of in inside look at the culture of different comapnies, so if you do decide to leave, you have a better idea of where to go

    Cons

    - Compensation is below the national average

I worked at Accenture full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Love the variety of work. Accenture does almost everything everywhere so you can move industries and learn new businesses. The company is full of smart people and good managers. The pay is great and the vacation time is amazing. Training is rigorous and management really invests in its people.

    Cons

It is difficult to balance a family and the travel. If you don't want to travel, you are limited to the local opportunities, which may not be in line with your career aspirations.

    Pros

Great coworkers and supervisors who are willing to help you adjust and provide support, but who will also challenge you and stretch your thinking

    Cons

Long hours, but this ebbs and lows depending on the project or even depending on the point in time within a project

I worked at Accenture as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

Accenture has great methodologies and tons processes and procedures to help you learn what you need to know for all of the projects and job situations you will encounter while employed with them. It is a great place for new recruits in the job market to learn and grow their professional skills.

    Cons

Accenture is very focused on hiring new grads which leaves a gap for experienced hires. With so much focus on new grad hires, they tend to forget the wealth of knowledge experienced hires bring to the table. Because of the new grad focus, salaries are not in line with market rates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

keep up the good work you are doing for your clients and on-boarding. Realign salaries to market conditions to attract and retain your experienced workforce.

    I worked at Accenture full-time

    Pros

    - Learned a lot from each project. Genuinely gained skills that were also marketable to other companies. Accenture is a definite resume-booster
    - Developed close relationships with a few co-workers. Some people are incredibly smart and fun. Others, not so much
    - Had great client experiences. Am still in touch with some of them!
    - Generous PTO, strong 401K match, low healthcare premiums, etc.
    - Got good luck w/ my projects and had a real work / life balance

    Cons

    - Maybe the entry-level offer is competitive, but after a few years (including promotion), you're quickly paid below market
    - Too many ultra competitive, cutthroat people (at all levels) trying to prove themselves. Not everyone cares about work-life balance
