Great company especially if closer to a metropolitan area.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat benefits; good pay. Fast paced, challenging work. If on a client-based contract, good work-life balance; if traveling as a consultant, it depends on how you see the world :).

ConsIt's easier to find a new role externally than internally

Advice to Senior ManagementInternal resources should be highly considered for roles, especially if they don't meet the stringent minimum requirements for most roles posted internally - be more flexible on this.

its tough work, takes a toll on your body, but they pay you well for the sacrifice.

Strategy Manager (Current Employee) San Francisco, CA

Prosthe pay is good to great.. you can make a lot of money if you know how to play the game. (get laddered in the upper ranks) if you don't like the work, just be patient as it changes frequently.

ConsIts notj ust a job, its your life. 80 hour weeks. 3-4 nights away from home every week. you have to be willing to take a lot of crap and not complain.

It's still all about who you know -- and how lucky you are.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsAccenture invests in their employees - countless training opportunities, and you can even learn a lot while working with clients. Great client list, and large scale projects give you the opportunity to learn and experience a lot, and develop an impressive skillset. The people are smart and typically driven, and a pleasure to work with.

ConsIt's still about who you know -- you must learn how to "toot your own horn", and network. It's up to you to find your own mentors, and when you find a manager who will have your back and be in your corner, stick with them. Performance management sticks to a process that is not necessarily fair, nor does it reward those who really worked for it. Additionally, talent within the organization is not distributed properly - many great people have left because they were not being challenged properly, or because their skills weren't being tapped in to.

Advice to Senior ManagementLearn how to recognize talent and allocate it better.
