    Pros

Pays well. You'll probably make an average of $25 per hour as an entry level salesperson. If you aren't very good at sales, expect more like $15. If you are a master, expect $35. Pay varies depending on how good you are. Office culture is friendly and calm. Decent benefits. Very generous with paid holidays and paid time off. You get access to a bunch of free coupons. Pretty flexible with schedule in most departments, especially on the Merchant Sales / Instant Savings team. HR and tech support are really good at their jobs, and make life easier. Easy to reach on TRAX. They half match your 401(k) contribution up to 10% of what you earn.

    Cons

Nothing major. My only complaint is that the people with keys to the building on the sales floor often leave well before 5, which can make it difficult sometimes to get all your hours in. When the last key person leaves, you have to leave too.

    Advice to Management

Some kind of cheap simple purchasable food on site would help boost productivity. Lots of time is lost with people driving downtown or other places for lunch.

    Pros

Fun, challenging, always improving, management is great.

    Cons

Low pay scale and not a long term business model with major cash flow increase.

    Pros

Fairly flexible schedule when you're hitting quota. Pretty friendly and cool coworkers. Convenient SLC location with access to Jordan River Trail. Not many career advancement opps though...

    Cons

Quick to give the ax to reps who don't hit quota month after month. Not the greatest pay or benefits. Only 50% company match on the 401K. Health care premiums were WAAAY too expensive

    Advice to Management

Company promotions should be based on merit vs. "who you know." Don't pass so much of the health care costs off to employees.

    Pros

This company is fun to work for: The owner and founder is actively involved and so passionate about his big vision, it's hard not to get swept up with him. He's such a genuinely nice guy too and cares about the happiness of all his employees. There is a great work-life balance at this company, with very minimal requirement for overtime and lots of opportunity for extra-curricular (particularly fitness) activities with co-workers. Access tends to attract fun and engaging people so there seems to be very little contention and drama in the workplace, plus it's pretty low turn-around.

    Cons

I've found that Access is very stingy with money: Pay is okay, but I'd say its on the low side compared to similar job positions. Raises are regular, but small. Christmas bonus is hardly anything to get excited over. Employees who travel have such small budgets that they end up staying in some pretty shady dives. Not cool, especially when they are traveling alone.

    Fun company, but too political.

    Pros

Flexible, good work / life balance, fun activities and company parties, 5K race, good and fair hiring process, access to travel and retail discounts

    Cons

Political, nepotism, no females in leadership, no room to "move up", some leaders do not encourage growth, a lot of internal gossip, industry is a bit stagnant

    Advice to Management

More females in leadership, less nepotism, more room to "move up"

    Pros

Flexible work environment (telecommuting, hours). Great co-workers and management team. Plenty of opportunity for professional (skills) growth. Business model means a bright future for the company.

    Cons

Benefits are a con (insurance primarily). Not much room for advancement due to the nature of the department. Access to conferences and or some type of formal training would be nice.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work, but help us out with the benefits. I understand the nature of insurance and I know small businesses are limited in what they can do but it is rather painful.

    Pros

Flexibility, training and development opportunities, support from peers and leaders, great products, fun worktime get-togethers

    Cons

Company is growing fast-sometimes new, larger-scale technology is lagging (but it's in the works!)

    Advice to Management

Keep up the open communications! Employees like hearing what leaders are seeing in the industry and planning for our company.

    Pros

Good opportunities for advancement for entry level positions Management works hard to build a fun and challenging work environment Operations positions receive a lot of recognition Overall great people to work with The company is growing Flexible schedules Good work/Life balance Annual company kickoff meetings Well establish company

    Cons

Poor insurance package (very expensive for employees Sales positions are not well recognized or rewarded Not all employees are held to the same standard. Access is quick to let go of sales people, or raise quotas to force people out, but operations people need not be very good and they still get rewarded and their accomplishments bragged about Several cutbacks recently (No more summer family picnic, leaderships retreats, or formal Christmas party)

    Advice to Management

As you grow from a small, to middle sized to large company, be careful who you step on, on the way up. Hold everyone responsible for results.

    Pros

The people at Access make it one of the best places to work in Utah. From the top down, everyone works and plays hard to get the job done. If you're up for a challenging, fast-paced career that's a lot of fun, then Access may be a great fit for you.

    Cons

Access has the potential to do so much, but it can't do more than it has capacity to accomplish. So many divisions are at full capacity, but somehow find ways to still make it happen.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work. Employees feel like management hear and care about them in so many ways. Great job!
