Pros
Accredo has exelent benefits, bonuses, and above average pay for the type of work done. They also offer the ablity to work from home.
Cons
Accredo has inadequate parking spaces for the amount of employees expected to be on campus at after 10AM and before 5PM. The supervisors are inexprienced or lack understanding of the work done by their subordinates. Lacks understanding and is more sensitive to professional/clinical staff as oppised to Clerical/Administrative staff. Double jeopardy from serving 90 day probation period twice, once with Aerotek and again once hired as an Accredo employee.
Advice to Senior Management
Accredo should promote from within; Cross-Train existing employees; Hire from outside only for trainig exisitng staff for the opportunity of upward mobility/morale.
Pros
the level of benefits provided
Cons
lack of advancement opportunties provided
Pros
Decent salaries and the company performs well in bad economy
Cons
Merger with Medco brought a degree of chaos, and introduced a ton of bureaucracy that is killing productivity and is very frustrating.
Pros
The best reason I can come up with to work there was the employees that you worked with. (Not the high-level managers though.) The employees made it a more enjoyable place to be at. They definitely would pull together to get the job done.
Cons
Management overall is out of touch with their staff, especially the senior management. They have slowly moved more towards morale-boosting techniques/programs, and missed what the employees were indicating they wanted- better pay raises for the extra work being performed. This has resulted in more dissatifaction among the staff.
Advice to Senior Management
If you want your company to remain successful you must pay your staff accordingly. Great company performance should directly translate into great pay raises for all. The average employee doesn't want a fancy title or a pat on the back in front of others. They come to work to get $$$$, nothing more. Pay closer attention to your annual feedback from the surveys. Giving employees a 3% raise and upping the benefit contribution 3 or 4% isn't giving them a monetary raise. You still have some outstanding employees at your company, their specialty pharmacy experience and professionalism are hard to replace.
Pros
It is a fast paced and growing company, rapidly growing company. It has grown fast, but still maintains some of the feel of a smaller company. In this regard, any ideas on how to make things work better, faster and smarter are truly rewarded.
Cons
Many, many changing priorities. If you want a place that has all systems and processes in place and you have time to really reach long-term goals, this would be a frustrating environment.
Pros
--Great People
--Good Benefits
--Opportunities for advancement
Cons
--Managers are overworked
--Too many meetings
--Too many e-mails
Advice to Senior Management
--Promote life balance (consistent 65 hour weeks are not healthy)
Pros
- Always knowing you are helping your patients is a great feeling.
- Met some wonderful people/co-workers.
Cons
- Doing your job plus the job of someone who either quit or was laid off seems to be the norm.
- Lots of change in leadership and frequent change in direction/shuffling responsibilities around was frustrating.
Advice to Senior Management
Make a plan, stick to the plan and give it time to work before you change direction. Talk to the people who actually do the work (Managers AND non Managers) to gain insight into how your company operates/who does what before you make sweeping changes and then wonder why things are falling through the cracks.
Pros
You will work with good people and you know you are making a difference in the lives of the patients.
Cons
It is a patchwork of many companies. Some uneven implementation has lead to the overall company's vision and purpose to be vague.
Pros
Accredo offers their employees a great work ife balance; They also offer flexible hours for the position that I operate in.
Cons
Management in general has a lack of guidance and knowledge of policies and procedures. There is also a lack of recognition
Pros
The people who work at the company are pretty cool when it comes to day-to-day communication. I enjoyed meeting the different personalities.
Cons
This company was decent when it came to work, but the atmosphere was not that conducive to an open/collaborative environment
