I worked at Accutest Laboratories (Less than a year)

    Pros

-They pretty much accept anyone which is great because you can use Accutest as a stepping stone on your career. -insurance is pretty good for what you pay for

    Cons

-The pay isn't that great but considering the job is so easy it's expected -high turnover rate

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees better and then you won't have to waste so much time training new people every time some one leaves

I have been working at Accutest Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been with Accutest for a little over a year and I enjoy coming to work everyday. I receive sick/personal days, holiday pay, paid vacation, benefits (which there are options so you can choose what the best option is going to be for you and your family), 401K. I have also received great training and I am learning something new everyday from the other individuals in my department that are extremely knowledgeable. The people that work here are also extremely nice and its easy to get along with them. I have red previous reviews that make comments about upper management but I have found that they are extremely easy to approach and will take their time out of their day to help explain things to you and to answer any questions that you have. The company goes out of its way to try to come up with fun things to do for the employees like bagels every pay day, pizza parties, ice cream sundae bars, employee bbqs. They also try to give back to the community by running food drives and adopting a family over the holidays. I have always received my pay on time and it is always accurate.

    Cons

My commute to the lab is on the long side. I am always cold but that is because of the instruments.

  3. This is a great place for recent graduates as well as people who go to school.

Listen to how people feel about their supervisors and team leads who don't have the companies best interest at heart

I worked at Accutest Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Camaraderie through adversity, paychecks always seemed to clear on time (but I had a side gig, so not really living paycheck-to-paycheck as some coworkers were) , overtime seemed to be consistently paid accurately (to me at least; some coworkers claimed inaccurate reckoning despite electronic time clock), became good at dodging coworkers moving frantically through lab to complete assigned work in a timely manner, learned what "dysfunctional work environment" looks like, the exceptional employee turnover rate means you get to meet new people regularly

    Cons

little concern for safety until an incident occurred, seriously poor pay for technical work (if you have an education, seek employment elsewhere unless you are looking for experience to put on your resume; if so keep employment brief and get out), mandatory overtime to complete assigned work load, SOPs are ignored to promote sample throughput, antiquated / broken equipment and lab facilities, lying to auditors is coached, generally hostile location management, abundant involuntary exposure to toxic chemicals

I worked at Accutest Laboratories (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy application and hiring process. High turnover leads to constant openings.

    Cons

Workload inconsistent, SOPs violated, some employees overworked, some barely work at all. Management is poor due to high turnover, as well.

I worked at Accutest Laboratories full-time

    Pros

I got some lab experience and the pay checks cleared

    Cons

Almost everything. Management creates an atmosphere of back stabbing and gossip. All they do is lie and shift blame between themselves which sets a horrible example for employee. This is a place where you go when you cant get a job in your field at any other lab in town. SOPs aren't followed and no one cares about safety or doing anything correctly until the day before auditors come. That's when they scramble around trying to clean up files and hide everything. I was TOLD by management to do things illegally and when I objected and asked for the in strength to be fixed, they did nothing. I would not go back to work for these crooks/liars for any amount of money in the world.

    Advice to Management

Stop fighting amongst yourselves and pay attention to your employees. While you're at it, maybe train them properly so they don't mess up the tests and fix your instruments properly so they can do the work you're asking them to do without having to mess with the data to get things to pass.

I worked at Accutest Laboratories part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good coworkers- not management but the workers that you talk to and work with are always nice and create a good internal environment. Happy i worked there for only 6 months while in school.

    Cons

Everything else, management, pay, job function, work load, treatment. I feel bad for those who have no alternative job, and are stuck in that company with no light in sight,

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better. there was no personal connection between us and you.

I worked at Accutest Laboratories part-time

    Pros

Extremely fast-paced laboratory environment. Helps train you to work efficiently and must be willing to work under pressure.

    Cons

Often times there would be situations where individual is overloaded with work. Also, safety issues were solved.

    Advice to Management

Continuously look out for employees well-being and ensure safety is number one priority. Otherwise, a great place for those seeking a technician role.
