    Pros

none at present used to be better. It is sad that they have lost there way!

    Cons

work life balance, unprofessional upper management, "we'll fire you " is company mantra, poor development for lower employees, promotion by termination whether ready or not, soliciting calls for legal lobbying is unprofessional. Horrible turnover never seen 95% turnover rate before in my life you should be ashamed, lack of focus on development of management for the next step. lack of leaders that know how to influence people and find ways to hep them succeed.

    Advice to Management

communicate in professional productive ways, find ways to create success rather than terminate and try again. choose people based on character and promote on success not out of necessity.

    Pros

Salary was decent, you work about 65 hours a week.

    Cons

They could not hire or retain any CSR's, so managers had to work every day and hour the store is open. They discontinued health benefits and instead offer a "Wellness Program". They do not caare about you or anything else but the bottom dollar. They have too many irons in the fire..payday loans, auto insurance, check cashing, bill paying, moneygram etc. Absolutely no work/life balance. And be prepared to be threatened with your job daily..You are just a number, and they have no problem telling you that. I would not wish this place on my worst enemy..I worked for them 2 years and it only got worse.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees and pay CSR's decent to retain good help.

    Pros

some lover level employees are pretty nice, climate controlled stores that I can keep at whatever temperature i want (im the only one there working all the time anyways)

    Cons

I took this job knowing it would only be temporary 4 weeks ago but I decided to quit already. I was promised full time but havn't worked more than a 32 hour week. Was told I'd have a "home" store which they base upon your living area after telling them I didn't want to drive, but I've had to drive to 5 different stores in ONE week for work spread out all over the metro area (25 minute drive just to work yesterday and I'm supposed to do it again today) Constant emails about "horrible" sales throughout the day with unrealistic sales goals set for every employee and threats of write-ups or firings constantly if they are not met. Almost impossible to get approvals on check cashings from an RA manager due to understaffing because of their ridiculously high turnover rate. I was forced to open and run my own store my first day out of training by myself with only a $500 check cashing limit and had a line out the door the entire day because of it, and then ran out of money due to a mistake at corporate coupled with a late delivery. 12 hour shifts alone behind bullet proof glass which you cannot leave at all during the day, and it's generally too busy to be able to even eat anything (no food or drink is allowed by the front counter) TERRIBLE corporate structure, selling netspend cards for a few extra bucks is worth more than employee retention and a lot of people get fired for not selling enough through no fault of their own. Also, not really the companys fault but the majority of the customers in my area are extremely rude and will have no problem belittling or threatening you all day for trying to do your job (remember that these are the type of people who do all of their banking through a dinky check cashing store, no offense to normal people who do too but it generally attracts the lowest of the low as far as customers go). I don't get paid enough to be a punching bag all day from both corporate and customers or to be able to drive as much as they suddenly wanted. I won't be returning to this job.

    Advice to Management

How about taking a look at your turnover rate and trying to understand why so many people stop showing up for their scheduled shifts. The way you go through and treat employees is costing you more money than what you make on stupid netspend cards that were forced to push on every customer.

    Pros

You work alone most of the time. Thats a good thing for people who have been there for a long time. Benefits, Bonuses (even if they are almost impossible), salary isnt bad.

    Cons

YOu are locked in ta cage for long periods of time. Management doest help you much and dont even start with the helpless desk!

    Advice to Management

praise you employees, rememeber when scheduling this is a person not an animal. NO one likes to work three 12 hour days in a row.

    Pros

Central location. Great fellow colleagues and employees. Incredible health benefits. Forward vision by CEO. Freedom to decorate for holidays. Almost recessionary proof business model.

    Cons

Horrific PTO policy. Pay for managers $20K less than other companies. They promote people that may not have proper education into director titles who do not know how to manage salaried employees and often are down right verbally harassing. Lousy operations management. To perform simply customer service, you almost have to have an IT degree.

    Advice to Management

Increase your pay. Complete a Director level survey and fire half of them.

They go through hiring phases and hire way too many people and then do yearly layoffs. It makes for a very competitive and unstable work environment.

one person working a 11 to 12 hr shift alone with no break ther should be 2 people working at all times we should have lunch breaks. no room for advancement no mtivation from your dm no help from your dm you are just a number pay is bad for managers

    Advice to Management

give the centers back to the managers let them do their own ordering and make out their own schedule and make available room for advancement and keep your dms in check there treating people wrong using profanity when they talk to them.

    Pros

Great Coworkers. Great Location (Las Colinas)

    Cons

shady management terrible work strategies huge turnover

    Advice to Management

I have never heard of a company that changes their bonus structure monthly just to save money. you get 3 paid vacations and then they call themselves "employer of choice". Something is wrong when you have supervisors that walk. at least 12 in a year's time. something is wrong with the company not the man! Jay Shipowich seems to be an ok guy but considering the only interaction is maybe an elevator ride, that is even an assumption.

    Pros

I really do not have anything nice to say about this company at all.

    Cons

The management is horrible. They do not pay enough to keep anyone that is worth working for this company so you are forced to work long hours with no brakes. They make false promises all of the time. And when it comes time they just ignore you like a teenager. The drama is horrible because everyone is unhappy. And most of the customers are horrible to the employees. I could go on and on but I do not think there is enough space here.

    Advice to Management

My advice is to train the district managers so they know how to do their job. Also take a good look at some of the district managers. They have no business doing this job. Especially when they ignore all of their employees. I have heard over and over and also seen it first hand that they do not get back to you.
