I worked at Ace Hardware full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Ace hardware definitely has a strong culture within the company that promotes happiness and giving back to the community

    Cons

Being as close as we were, which can be nice, there was also the typical drama that arises between employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would advise management to really take a second to analyze situations before they make rash decisions such as confronting employees

    Pros

Its a great place to work if you want something in the community, that is very easy to do. Fellow employees were friendly with each other.

    Cons

It might be hard to pick up some of the reasons why someone would choose one tool over another. Customers can be in construction and in a hurry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to how hard different employees are working.

    Pros

Great customers as well as co-workers. Good to work around family issues.

    Cons

Little opportunity to advance as well as little reward for hard work and reliability. Also , considerable bias shown to younger employees and family friends.

    Pros

The people are the main asset of this company. Everyone is very willing to help everyone else to achieve thier goals.

The speed of advancement is usually very slow compared to other companies. People could be in their same role for 3-5 years before being promoted.

I worked at Ace Hardware part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a great company to work for because the managers and employees are laid back, friendly, and easy to get along with, and the customer clientele are also friendly and easy-going, for the most part (working-class people rock!).

    Cons

Dealing with a lot of men that want to hit on you, if you're a lady!! haha!!

I have been working at Ace Hardware full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Great Benefits, Great Compensation,

    Cons

Absolutely no communication between Management team, no training, very click type office culture, false values certainly do not practice what they preach,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None, the corporation will do what they want and there is no changing it, they are stuck in an old and non-progressive culture. Don't expect changes, only make changes for yourself which means move on to a more progressive and organized company.
