I worked at Acision full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

None the company is dying !

    Cons

    AVOID !

Especially don't apply to Richmond. There are plans to close this office soon.

They hired people then shortly after they closed the whole office leaving a lot of new hirees without any money and with a huge bills for a relocation and just-rented houses.
They even lured a lot of senior engineers from different countries to the USA and then they fired them leaving them in the impossible situation.
Without H-1B. Without possibility to continue working in USA.
With enormous bills for a oversea relocation. Bills that can't be paid from salaries in countries they must return to.

Don't believe any word Acision's CEO is saying !
Acision's CEO (Adolfo Hernandez) himself begged people to come to work in US describing huge plans and investments there.
Shortly after their arrival the whole branch was closed !
    Don't trust him !

And it's not an isolated incident. They did same for the offices in The Netherlands and Prague.

There are even employees resigning in protest of this terrible practice !

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop using drastic measures.
Stop screwing with new hirees and transferees.
Stop moving the product development around the world each year.

I have been working at Acision full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay is satisfactory. Benefits good. PTO is acceptable. Nice office environment. Flexible work from home policy.

    Cons

Leadership is non existent. Success is pre-defined by the executive team as sleeping under your desks, working long hours because you love what you do. Only, you're never really sure of what you're doing, exactly. And there's no good time to take PTO.
Personal Growth is what you choose to take on. The company is so focused on revenues / income / sales that it trumps people or real organizational management.
We stay extremely busy making the same mistakes repeatedly (or continuous reworking of things). While blamed on swift change, I view it as a dysfunction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop an organization with proper Product Management. Many dollars are paid in salaries to Product managers who are capable, but not allowed. One liner stories or requirements with no value analysis or even a moment to think about it, is not a recipe for quality work.
There's also a ton of double speak. What is said versus the actual behavior doesn't usually match.
Say what you mean and mean what you say.
Also stop telling us about how many hours we need to work and how we'll be stretched in the coming months. People do that when they want to, not because it's hanging over their head as mandatory. If you're not compensating for the extra effort you either need too or have such an enticing product where people feel tied to it's success. Currently, there's neither.
