    Pros

Potential advancement at a manufacturer level. Ownership of retail objectives for an entire region. Great way to connect with business professionals in the consumer packaged goods industry.

    Cons

Lack of training, work is done on the fly and no real learning of functions. More field travel than originally suggested.

    Pros

Very easy going, comfortable job. Managers support you and are very responsive. Independence is a key and you need to be a self starter.

    Cons

Lack of hands on training, everything happens over the phone or email. Driving long distances is inconvenient but part of the position.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing, but have more of a hands on training program for new employees. It was very hard to figure out things on my own with 2 days in store experience.

    Pros

Company itself is decent, work is straight forward easy and depending on the team you are on, travel is local.

    Cons

Current Unit Manager emails our team at all hours of the night, expects her team to (more often than not) to "work off of the clock" to get scheduling done or work . Unpleasant work conditions on her team.

    Advice to Management

Train your supervisors on labor laws before you have a class action law suit on your hands.

    Pros

The hours are. I currently am full time and get at least 37 hours a week. I also get paid holidays and 2 hour early paid release the day before. The management is also awesome.

    Cons

Raises are very hard to come by. Seeing your managers in person van be impossible.

    Advice to Management

Fight for your employees to get raises when deserved. You can loose great employees over that.

    I worked at Acosta part-time

    Pros

I was with Acosta for about 8 years in a couple different positions. I guess the pros would be that I was paid on time, there was no micromanaging, and I rarely saw my boss. I knew what was expected of me each week doing Kompass work and I did it. I also got vacation pay for part time work

    Cons

Training is not very good, and new employees quit because of lack of direction.

    Advice to Management

Treat the lower level employees with respect. Show them that they are valued by properly training them and paying them.
