Pros – Flexible schedule, M-F regular business hours. South San Francisco office is in a nice location.

Cons – Actelion is not a good place for a contract employees. The company discriminate their contracts, not like in other places where contracts feel welcome and part of the group. They don't include contracts in regular meetings, even tough you need it for your job. Not to mention that contracts are not welcome, whenever meals are served for their regular employees. That is so rude from my point of view.
This company does not a good infrastructure, because they rather keep on training new contracts instead of creating 'permanent' jobs. They prefer to pay contracts to save money and that's the reason why contracts leave very often. There is no future for contracts to get a permanent job.

Advice to Senior Management – Please treat the contract employees the same as you would like to be treated. Other companies are different and they don't put the contract on 'the side'

Cons – It's an affiliate so many of the decisions are made out of Basel.

Cons – Most positions are lacking a career path.
