Pros
some of the managers are very nice to their workers.
there are some (not many) interesting challenges on the technical part.
Cons
they don't raise the salary too much (but think that this is the same behavior in most of the companies as well)
Pros
During a difficult time to get a job they paid pretty well.
Cons
Expectations of what you can accomplish with the level of maturity of software that exists is completely unreasonable.
Advice to Senior Management
Set expectations with clients better.
Pros
Excellent benefits, good pay and they are present on pretty much all the banks. They are growing fast and they are the market leaders.
Cons
- LONG LONG LONG work hours
- No respect for work hours, even if you have family to take care
- Very little team work and very little help when needed
Advice to Senior Management
Put employees first and profits after... You should treat everyone like family.
Pros
Pay is OK, company is a definite market leader in its field and the list of clients is very impressive.
Cons
Not a lot of room for growth, promotions are very rare, benefits package is pretty mediocre, the facilities are very subpar
Advice to Senior Management
Share the company's success with your employees and promote from the inside instead of hiring managers from outside the company.
Pros
Excellent benefits, often slanted in the employee's favor. Management is concerned with employee welfare and is interested in hearing out employees' opinions. Financially well-managed and has a strong core product that is at the top of its category.
Cons
Not much opportunity for advancement in my specialty. R&D, where I would have liked to work, is in Israel (but I don't want to leave the US). Stingy with equipment. I got a 3-year old laptop, but it seems to depend on where you'll be assigned and what your specific role will be. I was assigned fulltime on-site to a client so I got a 2-year old desktop.
Advice to Senior Management
None really. Management has done an excellent job. Though the focus on cost may seem maniacal, but it has helped the company grow and prosper even in tough economic times.
Pros
Always willing to do something technologically new but at expense of delivery
Cons
You work in a vacuum and constsasnly over promise to prospects and clients making PRS delivery impossible
Advice to Senior Management
Set priorities and communicate
