    Pros

Flex hours, fun culture, if you work hard then you'll be rewarded (my career keeps growing here), great pay and benefits...

    Cons

The move in 2014 was hard on a lot of people, but 2015 looks to be great.

Former Employee - Reservation Agent - Work At Home in Saratoga Springs, NY

I worked at Active Network part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Work from home
    Paid 40 hour initial training
On the job training throughout employment
    Flexible hours
Quarterly bonus (if you meet criteria)
Will work with you if you have an emergency.
Team Leaders keep in constant contact with you, any questions are readily answered.

    Cons

You start off with the national contract, then you get trained in states, but you do not get paid additional for learning and dealing with more policies.
The started off requiring 22+ hours M-F, a Monday or a Friday plus a weekend day, then the last year I worked they required 34+ hours weekdays as well as a Saturday or Sunday.
No benefits package, as it is a temp/seasonal job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be advisable if management would consider an hourly raise-per-contract for reservation agents as they are required to know policy for each contract. It would be a great incentive other than just the quarterly bonus.

I have been working at Active Network

    Pros

Active make employee growth a priority, and strives to make the world a more active place. They offer lots of educational and wellness programs to help the employees grow both personally and professionally.

    Cons

They are going through some changes right now with a new corporate HQ in Dallas, so things change frequently. But they are trying to make the process as smooth as possible

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work!

I worked at Active Network part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I enjoyed working from home. My team leader was really nice and knowledgeable. The people on my team were friendly. Training seemed drawn out to me, but I noticed some people weren't catching on too well and I realized that training was slow and long for a reason. Everything was provided: Headset and computer. I can't say enough how much I loved this job.

    Cons

Scheduling can be difficult if you have out of the ordinary needs. Also, being on the West coast I didn't get the earliest shift I wanted. I would have preferred to start at 7 am, but that's 9 am Pacific time.

I had a two week period where I wasn't able to work because of some kind of error. They sent me a new computer and everything. It turned out that the problem was coming from an incompatible monitor. Yeah, a monitor. It took 2 weeks for an IT person to figure that out. By that time my sitter had declined to work for me because I hadn't given her any work in almost 2 weeks.

Not a con for me but might be for other WAHMs, you need silence. No background noise or interruptions during your shift.

    Pros

I am so tired of these reviews. These are written by ex employees who hate the fact that their cushy jobs are going away. One review says we should return to being old Active. Old Active was losing money and most of these employees didn't care.

    Cons

San Diego culture is horrible. I am not moving to Texas but will continue to work here and I am very grateful for that.

I have been working at Active Network full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I've been with Active for 5 years. I'm very excited about possibility of moving to Dallas. Most of employees in San Diego are lazy and don't want to work. I can't stand it and I almost left when it was announced that we are moving to Dallas. I was one of those offered to move.

    Cons

Environment where my team-mates spend more time complaining than working.

I have been working at Active Network full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a very interesting company to work for. Decent products, tough but fair management. I've been promoted twice in the past 9 months. If you work hard there are a lot of opportunities.

    Cons

Most of my colleagues were jealous of my most recent promotion. The comments were that I should stick with them so we can get rid of the management and bring "the old Active back". I don't want the old Active back. I know some of you will know who I am but I don't care.
