    Pros

There was a lot of flexibility in one's work/life schedule, and the pace of work could be handled by pretty much anyone.

    Cons

Lack of challenging work, and it felt like you weren't really rewarded for taking on extra responsibilities.

    Advice to Management

Reduce staff, invest in the younger work-force, and reward staff instead of their managers for challenging projects getting completed.

    Pros

Opportunity does exist to move around internally.

    Cons

Working as a consumer data business in the age of hightened privacy concerns is less than ideal. Even though leadership says they value being challenged in the hallway, it's not advised. What they really mean is "tell us how great we're doing." A hero culture is rewarded - "Joey came in over the weekend to make sure this release got into production. Yay!" That tends to send the wrong message to employees, even if subconsciously.

    Advice to Management

Lead by example. It's not what you say, but how you behave. If you want perspective and employee loyalty, get out of the ivory towers and work next to the front line employees. You may learn a few things.

    Pros

    - Lots of great people to work with
    - Great Assets to be developed on
    - Employees are loyal
    - Good work/life balance

    Cons

    - Senior leadership doesn't know how to run a company or have any vision
    - Benefits are just ok at best
    - With lack of leadership comes frustration from employees, tough to get things done
    - Treat employees like numbers and don't value their abilities

    Advice to Management

Time for a shift in leadership, find and promote leaders who know what they are doing in the industry, take a vested interest in their knowledge and abilities, get to know your employees and what they can provide to the organization.

    Pros

The few good people left in the company

    Cons

Overall weak executive leadership with the exception of the CFO. The CRO has hired 3 new VP's and there has been little communication on their plan or any plan for that matter.

    Advice to Management

Board needs to make changes ASAP1

    Pros

Lots of time to work on school work

When you do have work it does give you a good feel for what you may be going into

    Cons

Not really a whole lot of a work for interns

    Advice to Management

Maybe only let certain people who do some kind of training be mentors to interns

    Pros

Option to work from home in certain positions for things like inclement weather, appointments, sick kids, etc.

    Cons

The current leadership seems to be making policy changes without making announcements to the associates regarding the changes.

    Advice to Management

Get back to open lines of communication between management and associates.

    Cons

    1. insurance has a large deductible

    Pros

Some very talented people particularly technical staff. Location on south bank is a major plus. Very accommodating for families and work/life balance meaning many stay on for decades (this cuts both ways).

    Cons

Any real talent is suffocated by long standing staff through back-room deals and back-stabbing. Anyone who actually does anything productive eventually becomes frustrated and is quietly encouraged to move on within a few years whilst the "lifers" feather their own nest and cover their own backs.

    Advice to Management

Upper management are clearly pretty clueless what actually happens on the ground. Dump your hangers on and find new opportunities to let your most production staff flourish.
