    Pros

Great Creative Staff - many people have worked for the company for 35+ years

    Cons

Lack of work in the Arkansas Offices. Some staff have been with Acxiom so long that they are stagnant. If you try to work hard and make a difference, you will be slapped down by an Arkansas boss. Too many of the bosses are worried about their subordinates doing too well and this great person may take the bosses job. In Arkansas, way too much mixture of work and religion.

    Advice to Management

For the Board, please review the work and costs by your new CIO - he is oblivious to the needs of the company and that the company is in the RED and sinking. For the CEO - your ultimate fear of what to do with people that do not want to work and have been with the company for 30+ years is a reality and during layoffs you need to have a plan - and not trust the Arkansas Managers to come up with their own list of lay offs. The new people are the ones to keep and the ancient employees need to retire now.

I have been working at Acxiom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free food, smart people, flexible, good work/life balance

    Cons

Culture and innovation is lacking. Purchased LiveRamp over a year ago and internal integration is a complete mess across product, sales, and leadership. Please stop the 10 page CEO rambling emails. While transparency is refreshing, the key points should be focused and straightforward - not mind numbing

    Advice to Management

Focus on areas where you can win. Align organization & silos where everyone is incentivized to sell full product suite across traditional and digital channels. Do something, anything, to help boost employee morale and company culture.

    I worked at Acxiom full-time

    Pros

This is specific to Acxiom Impact (formally Digital Impact), the Email Service Provider and agency within Acxiom. King of data and analytics - Acxiom is a sleeping giant ready to take on the world and propel the marketing plan for any brand in it. Acxiom Impact is in a great position to execute true cross channel marketing communications by leveraging that data. Smart and really dedicated, multi-talented people - many have been there for several years. They work hard and know their stuff. Pay and quarterly bonuses are good. Good support teams, back office, and ethical company overall.

    Cons

Acxiom Impact in particular is going through a painful re-brand and transformation so it is like a start up…in a bad way. Attempts to transition from email to innovative digital marketing are poor so far. - There’s a major old school / new school dilemma going on and it is really hard to get anything done right. - There’s been a lot of turnover. - From new business to execution, there’s not any consistent procedures and it is total amateur hour even though smart hard-working people are there. Most importantly, there is one leader in particular who started last year that has no experience in the digital marketing space including data and analytics, ESPs, or running an agency. He has no idea what he is doing including the simplest tasks but he works really hard to hide it. - goes against company policy - unethical - makes very questionable decisions - wastes an enormous amount of time - delegates most everything - doesn’t know what he should know - doesn’t remember what he said or requested - few things he did do are of poor quality Unfortunately, they are all headed for the ditch if he stays.

    Advice to Management

It seems most the reviews in Glassdoor screams of mis-management. It is an epidemic in corporate America. This place has a really bad seed but the rest may be able to cobble this broken debacle together to make something work to get to the next level. Just listen to the smart employees, especially those who have been there and know the virtues of the company and understand the potential of where it can go. Then actually take action against it.

    Pros

Great opportunities to advance. Hard work and good performance are really rewarded. Good communication with bosses and great relationship with all coworkers. No office politics which is really nice. Work hours very flexible.

    Cons

None that I can think of even after 8 years.

    Advice to Management

Smile a little more.......you're doing a great job.

    I worked at Acxiom full-time

    Pros

Excellent products and great sales teams. A great place to learn and continue to be educated about database design, BI and privacy, as well as to network with enterprise corporate clients.

    Cons

Like many large organizations the management structure is rigid and well structured, which allows for good exposure for some employees who are able to manage 'up' and 'sideways'. Any out of the box strategies are not encouraged, of course. NOT for the 'start-up' mentality.

    Advice to Management

Encourage interaction between product groups and teams to allow for collaborative planning.
