Pros
Challenging and rewarding. Senior Management supportive.
Cons
Not all managers are good managers. Company is slow in making needed changes.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen more to mid management
Pros
Healthcare and QNXT Product Knowledge
Cons
Lack of resources to support clients
Pros
It was a small enough company where people got to know each other really well. It made the atmosphere fun.
Cons
The company is closing. Before that announcement, going through all the RIFs was a pretty tough ordeal for everyone and that could've been handled differently.
Advice to Senior Management
Since it's closing - this section is pretty much a moot point.
Pros
Nice lay back work environment for people who don't like fast paced life.
Cons
Not much to learn and grow.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to be fair
Pros
Work environment and people around you
Cons
No promotions. Too many excuses.
Advice to Senior Management
Open your eyes
Pros
Its was a relatively low stress work environment. Good group of people to work with. Decent work life balance in the development group, not so much in the Data Services group.
Cons
Management was more concerned with their stock options and personal bonuses to care about the long term viability of the company.
Advice to Senior Management
To late now, they are going the way of the Dodo bird....
Pros
Absolutely, hands down, the autonomy to enjoy a balanced life - personal and professional - they are the most progressive company I've ever seen in this regard.
Cons
The culture is not amenable toward the high-achiever personality - a person of high ability is expected to be quiet and mediocre like the majority of personnel. And, don't expect a decision to be made quickly - they only make decisions "by committee", because no one wants to be held accountable for making a decision - those who take decisive action get the blame . . . too bad
Advice to Senior Management
Ease up on your "everyone is the same" mentality - embrace the innovator, the builder, the person of ability and intelligence . . .don't shut them down, and don't be afraid of them.
