Pros
Adcorp Australia is a huge company, and one of the more attractive and well-known companies in the employment marketing field. Working there esposes you to a huge range of clients and a range of challenges, and you can work with some really amazing people. As a field, it's a niche area, so it's nice to be able to talk the language and have people understand what you're talking about. It's a company that's not limited in it's thinking to try new things.
Cons
There's very little communication between the offices around the country, and senior leadership aren't visionary. It's not a business which sees itself as a market leader, just a dominator, so it doesn't plan to inovate or partner clients. The company also has a bad reputation for service delivery, and has a history of making bad decisions when hiring managers, which leaves a lot of the risk, and workload, on people at the coal face. Also, the rewards for service above and beyond the role are largely just vocal, and don't translate into any tangible benefit.
Advice to Senior Management
Responding to competitors is not as important as responding to what the market is telling you. It's not enough to be better than a bad competitor - you need to be better than everyone, by listening to your clients. Being creative is one thing, but providing the right creative as part of a solution is what keeps clients coming back for more. Reward staff and be prepared to take risks. you don't have to go broke to become extinct.
