    Individual contribution

    Leadership (Former Employee)
    Palo Alto, CA

ProsLong time organization with high tech connections. Seem to be customer focused. Large national footprint which allows the organization to capture new customers fairly easily.

ConsTops down leadership structure. There are limited individual decision making and flexibility options to employees. With the conversions to a tops down organization there is a lack of real open communication.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Great organization to work for.

    Financial Solutions Representative (Current Employee)
    San Diego, CA

ProsPersonal banking, high net worth clients, great banking products, great competitive rates, management is friendly and CEO is humble. One of the best credit unions in the U.S. Customer service oriented financial institution. Ethical underwriters guidelines.

ConsThere are limitations to the positions available in branches. Financial Solutions Representatives are not licensed like Chase personal banker 2's.

Advice to Senior ManagementOffer better communication between processors, underwriters, and sales representatives to avoid delay with application and higher client satisfaction. One of the best credit unions in the U.S.

    Great Place to Be

    Analyst (Current Employee)
    Palo Alto, CA

ProsEmployee's get a 2% discount on loans, the entire organization strives to give full service "above the line" rather than "below the line", management care and concern for employee's best interest, knowledgable and smart working senior and middle management, employee diversity, casual dresscode, and flexible work schedules. I've worked here over 10 years and continue to enjoy my work because of the people.

ConsHomogeneous management team and no formalized training programs.

Advice to Senior ManagementBegin thinking and preparing on replacing (hopefully with internal candidates) a number of employee's approaching retirement within the next 5 years.
