    Pros

Convenient location Nice facility ample parking Treat perks, Bangles on Fridays and pizza parties for staff Some very good employees

    Cons

Worked in the Central Area. Extremely poor management. Several people in charge fool around in their area do not help other areas that have a need for help. Management has unrealistic expectations on deadlines being met. There is NO forethought in getting things completed it's a "fly by the seat of your pants" which causes chaos and horrible morale amongst staff. Everyone I knew is looking for another employer. Rules are not enforced across the board. People are called out on certain things while others get away with the infractions. Several co workers are very rude bordering on harassment. Advancement is poor here and it's very obviously bias. Also working hours are ridiculous. There are people who regularly have to stay horrible hours (talking 9, 10 at night) to get work completed because there is no help or solutions offered. Extremely stressful and leads to mistakes that could be avoided.

    Advice to Management

Talk to the staff take an survey that can be taken anonymously so you can see how people really feel.

    Pros

Satisfaction of actually helping people (mostly seniors) in ways no one else will.

    Cons

Middle management changed very frequently so you had to frequently adjust to a new immediate supervisor.

    Advice to Management

More uniformity with enforcing rules. Some supwrvisors would allow or expect things from their employees and others wouldn't.

    Pros

I enjoyed having the opportunity to work directly with my mother as she went through her treatments and other events regarding he illness.

    Cons

The only con with this position for me was that once anything happens with your client you are no longer employed as this position required you to bring your client into the agency with you.

    Pros

Great for independent working Great pay for the work you do.

    Cons

They will repeatedly mess up your check and make you wait until the next pay period to pay you back and sometimes not even then. The only people that return calls In a timely manner are the schedulers. They will get smart with you, rude and laugh about it. Hard to get supplies when the office is locked during open hours.

    Advice to Management

Tighten up the Kankakee situation or close.

    Pros

Schedule according to your daytime availability. Paid sick, vacation, holidays, and "show-up" time. Offer health insurance at 80% out of their pocket for FT employees = affordable. Paid miles between clients, paid time between clients, paid miles taking clients to appointments or running their errands.

    Cons

High turn over in management means there is always someone on the low end of the learning curve, often getting it wrong. PT employees can't afford full health care coverage. Starting wage barely over minimum; raises are preset at 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 15 years at no more than 25 cents max per hour per jump. "Training" for office personnel is minimal which often leaves field employees doing their job for them in scheduling... Office personnel get to wear multiple hats, hiring, firing, write ups, maintaining lots of files and also going out into the field to do intakes on new or returning clients, and In-Home visits on all clients.... And that's just the Service Coordinators. Now everything that can be transferred to corporate in Chicago area has, making it a more confusing at the local level.

    Advice to Management

Fix your systems. They were promising, with the new technology, but you have failed miserably. I do not accept that my vacation accrual is as low as it has been reported to be. Not when there has been no regular updating for 6 months now. Fire your upper management, including your POS president, because crap rolls best downhill.
